Hi everyone:
I asked my Dr. about traveling during pregnancy since we are planning on going to Italy next month.  Here is her response to my e-mail and her advice in case anyone has the same concerns.... I just copy and pasted her e-mail....

Hi Michelle,
Congratulations! This is great news! I would like to see you before you go on your trip. Generally it is fine to travel in the first trimester (it usually fine up until 36 weeks of pregnancy), and you can go ahead and schedule the trip. On the plane flight it is important to drink plenty of water and get up and move around a bit every couple of hours. (to avoid blood clot risks). You will also have to stay away from all that Italian wine (sorry!).
I will ask one of our nurses to call you and schedule your appointments. See you soon.
Dr. Lisa Sorenson

So...I am excited...I can go to Milan and shop!  HA...
