Elisabeth, I was wondering, do you think our babies could be bigger because we are so tall? I was just thinking, my sisters 2 were 9 and 10 lbs.She is 6'1. Do you have any siblings? cassandra

A special hello to Elizabeth and her cargo of three !!!!!Congratulations.
I had IUI...in fact this was our first attempt !!! The lowest dose of stimulation drugs and we were told only 1 follicle ......hmmmmmmm, i think something went a little wrong ;-)
Still in total shock and feeling very numb....does anybody know any triplet gestations or birth weights?? I am so worried for them , I am a paediatric nurse so guess i just know too much. Due date is Jan 5th but guess we get a special xmas present this year !!
Perhaps you have one set of identicals in there!!!!
A friend of a friend had triplets through IVF about 5 years ago. I dont think she went too early and the babies were pretty healthy...Sorry dont know exact details. Being a pead nurse you would be worried. You would see all types if things.....You just need to make sure that you take care of yourself and rest heaps.....
I still cant believe there are so many of us having our babies together......I think a big get together is required when our babies are a few months old....How does a trip to Australia sound???LOL

Elisabeth, how have you been feeling lately? When is your first OB appt.? I have been sleeping a lot. At night I sleep so soundly rarely do I even get up to pee. In the morning I am still nauseas until I eat. At 12:30 I feel hungry/nauseas at work (usually when I'm too busy to do anything about it) the girls I work with are great and can tell when I don't feel good and bring me something to drink to tide me over. Speaking of...do you work? If so are you gonna cut your hours? Just wondering how your'e doing...cassandra

Hey Cassandra- Thanks for checking on me. The biggest battle I am facing is tiredness. I am so tired all of the time. I am able to control my naseau by eating constantly, but the extreme tiredness is amazing.
I have my last u/s tomorrow at the RE, and then I see my perinatologist (sp?) for the first time on the 16th. I talked to him extensively on the phone, and he is awesome. He did say that we have a higher chance of having heavier babies because my dh and I are both tall. I hope he is right.
He also said that he will take me off of work at 20 weeks. I won't necessarily be on bed-rest, but he justs wants me to have no work stress. I am in sales, and my boss hasn't been the greatest. He makes really nasty comments and has increased my work load dramatically. > I keep telling myself....only 9 more weeks left of work. I think I will be able to make it.
Take care. I would love an update on everyone's life as well. I know that many of us have been too tired to post.
Elizabeth....Amazing triplets. I am so happy for you! The boss thing will pass and right now the most important thing is the health of your babies. Just think about it this way, probably the most stressful thing you and all of us have done is trying to get pregnant to begin with, the shots, the testing....what can one lousy jerk do to you that even compares, especially when you know you do not have to see him in 9 more weeks. Whenever he gets on your nerves just rub your belly and think of those precious babies...that'll put a smile on your face!!!!! And probably really upset the jerk manager! Best of luck to you and keep us updated.
32 yr old with 36 yr old dh been married 4 years, I. First IVFw/ICSI scheduled January 2006..... BFP on Feb 6, 2006. Due October 14th...It's TWINS!!!!! Babies arrived 14 weeks premature, boy 1lb 11 ounces and girl 1 lb 9 ounces
I'm glad to hear you'll be stopping work without strict bedrest. That's my fantasy! Yesterday customers asked if I'll be back to work and right in front of my boss. I said yes. Don't really know when but I'm thinking 4-5 months. It really depends on my family and who can help. When I'm having a hard day I think about how I will never work these crazy long shifts again! That puts a smile on my face! I have my first OB appt. on Monday. I'm pretty excited. It seems I haven't seen a nurse or an U/S machine in a while and when I start wondering if I'm still pregnant I feel nauseas. O.K. I'm must still be pregnant! cassandra

I have not been able to get online for sometime since my computer went down with the worst ever virus and it's taken ages to rectify...anyway here i am back again and desperate to catch up on how everyone is getting on.
I am teen weks now with my triplets and so far still totally in shock, my doctors are still pressing me to make the choice no pregnant woman ever wants to make but i cant face it currently. Having my next scan at 12 weeks so we will see if all 3 remain then .
I am signed off work with awful sciatic currently and apart from amazing hunger, fairly extreme tiredness and constant headaches I am feeling fine ....well, no nausea to speak of anyway. I am very surprised I ahev not had terrible sickness.....not sure if it's a good or bad sign.
Had to buy new underwear and some bigger clothes already!
That choice they are asking you to make is huge....You do what your instincts tell you to do. It will be the right decision.
I'm glad you are sort of well.....Sciatica is so painfull, I had it when I was pregnant with my daughter. I couldnt move from the pain.
I too am 10 weeks today. Am eating like a horse and have also had to buy some bigger clothes.....I dont sleep very well either. Waking up at least 5 times a night for the loo and then I struggle to get back to sleep. Im up for the day anywhere between 3am and 6am. I get to have a nap when my daughter is at kinder though.

DB - thanks for the update, I have been thinking/worrying about you. It is starting to sink in a little bit more that we will be having three babies. I had a scan last Friday that was absolutely mind blowing. they all had two arms and two legs and HUGE heads. It is so surreal to see three babies in there.
How is your dh coping with your news?
If you are interested, I have found a website called "the triplet connection" that has a forum similiar to here. There is tons of advice about caring for three babies. I have found it very helpful so far.
I am 10 weeks 6 days today and had a tiny bit of spotting ao went for my scan (2nd one since my first at 7 weeks)...... three tiny babies, wrigling around and waving ! We counted clearly 5 fingers on one of them ! It was amazing, they all appear to be in a line like a tower ! All are the same size to within a few mms and two measure at 11 weeks 5 days one at 11 weeks 4 days....... since i am certain of my dates i dont understand the significance of this but guess theyare doing well so far. I travel to London next week to see the expert having been advised to only continue with twins...but the whole thing is tearing my partner and I up, the proceudre carries a risk of miscarriage but should ensure i carry them longer.....We just dont know what to do, plus I am sure th care we get in the uk is v v different to the usa, uk docotrs are far less experienced. Aside from all this I am doing ok, awful headaches but then i have always had migraine, heartburn and still up the bathroom every hour. My sciatica remains horrid so still not working. And my stomach is really obvious now......how is yours elizabeth? are you feeling well?
Thank goodness for this site.....i cant find any other triplet moms in the uk curently !!
I am so glad your scan went well. What a hard decision you have to make though. You are very brave and I am sure you will do what is right for your family. Take care..

Debbie, I feel for you having to make that unbelievably difficult decision. I hope that you and DH do what is right for YOU and not worry about others. Take care and my best to you no matter what you choose to do. Karen
