I HAD MY FIRST IUI ON FRIDAY.  NOW IT STARTS THE 2 WEEK WAIT. THE DOCTOR SAID I CAN FIND OUT OCT
15TH, AND I STARTED TO CRY THEY THOUGHT I WAS IN SOME KIND OF PAIN I JUST SAID "NO I AM CRYING BECAUSE THATS THE DAY BEFORE OUR ANNIVERSARY.  ITS THE 16TH WHAT A NICE GIFT THAT WOULD BE.  BUT I AM SO SCARD THAT I WILL BE SO DISAPPOINTED THAT I WILL GO INTO MORE OF A MEGA DEPRESSION IF THE TEST COMES BACK NEGATIVE. I AM HAVING SO MANY MIXED EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW.. I THINK I WILL BE AFFRAID TO TAKE THE TEST. I HAVE BEEN SO EMOTIONAL I CRY AT EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE.  THE DOC SAYS ITS FROM THE CLOMID.
KEEP YOUR FIGURES CROSSED FOR ME.  I WILL BE ON THE SITE ALOT THIS WAIT IS KILLING ME!!

good luck and tons of baby dust to you!
and you're right the 2ww is the pits! it drives me mad!
i think it's because there's ONLY waiting. before hand you're taking pills, or giving shots, or something . . . now it's just    waiting. (ick)
i know what you're talking about with the anniversary thing too. i had my transfer one week to the day after my birthday, and my due date would have been around our 10th anniversary. i hope i can celebrate anyway and not think about the babies that i almost had.

You are in the right place.  So many women here have been through the 2 week wait (several times)!  Keep posting and we'll be thinking about you, especially on the 15th!!

Argghh.. the agony of the 2ww!! I feel your pain!

I was the worst.. I hate waiting.. I am extremely impatient.. I must have bought boxes and boxes of First Response HPT and was using them almost every day (what a waste.. i don't recommend you do that!!!!).. BUT.. because I am such an impatient person.. I did eventually use the First Response when you are supposed to... the earliest you can test is 4 days prior to when your period is due.. so I did that for both my IUIs.. and the first time.. it helped me a little emotionally because I knew it was going to be negative... so when my period arrived.. it was awful.. but not a devastating shock.. and then this past cycle.. I had a faint 2nd line when I did my early pregnancy test.. and I didn't want to get too excited because it could have been a false positive.. but again.. it gave me something to look forward to.. and a little positive hope!!!

But unfortunately.. I am not going to gloss over this.. the 2ww sucks!!!!

My first 2WW was horrid, then I started my period the day I was supposed to get blood work.  That was worse.  I can't imagine adding in the anniversary stress too.  I know I daydreamed before a lot of special days like holidays and birthdays of how great it would be to drop the news on such a big day.  My thoughts are now that it would be just as great to do the same thing on a boring, unimportant Wednesday.  I wish you lots of luck and strength.

I feel your anxiety -- I started by 2 WW today on my second IUI attempt.  I'm afraid this wait will be longer than the first cycle given that we've had one unsuccessful try.....  We'll all hang in there together and think "positive" thoughts!!

I did my first IUI yesterday. The wait begins. I have a lot of cramping yesterday it was cyst like pain on the left now it's more abdominal. When you all waited did you eat well as if it would be positive, a stay low on excercise and all the good things they say to do. Does it work the first time for anyone. What should I feel inside if the IUI worked. All the help and advise is greatly needed and appreciated

Hi Sara. I had 2 IUIs, and both times, I didn't eat more than usual, but I really took it easy, to make sure that my body would concentrate on the  treatment and not trying to cope with fatigue. I was aware of every single twitch in my body, and I was wondering every time if it was a sign of somethign good.... or bad. It' hard to stop your mind from imagining things because you want to be p/g so bad. Just in in there, you are in the 2ww phase and it's not easy, but we are here if you need help. Try to resits the temptation of doing  a HPT. If you doit too early, it willbe negative and you'll be crushed for nothing, if it turns out to be positive when you do the blood test at the end of the 2ww. So, be strong and rest  as much as you can. Also, talk with your DH, you are a team in this whole adventure, and you need his support. After all, you are doing all the physical stuff!
Baby dust to you.
