Hi Ladies,

Thanks for all your support... I took hpt this morning and it's BFN.  It's depressing... I will find out in the late afternoon with the lab result...

Good Luck for those who'll be taking the test soon.

Hello Mgrn - Just to let you know that I am sorry to hear that you received a BFN.  I myself had a 5 day bastocyst transfer in July that gave us a BFP.  I had a 3 day transfer which was a BFN in April. I do believe 100% that a 5 day is more successful.  Best of wishes in you future journeys.  Talk to you soon.

Hi Mrgn -

I also did a 5 day blastocyst transfer of 2 excellent quality embryos and got a BFP.  My doc says that he prefers to do 5 day transfers over 3 day if it is possible.  However, he says that it is not always possible in everyone.

My husband also took conception xr through the IVF cycle.  This was a suggestion by my doc to help his swimmers be of excellent quality.  It's like a male prenatal.

I also did fertility acupuncture and fertility yoga through the cycle.  My doc also believes that holistic treatment along with ART can be beneficial.  In addition to the prenatal I also took an Omega 3 supplement.

That's a lot of info...hope it helped.

Dear Daniella,

You said that your husband took Conception XR.  Is this a persciption drug or can I get it over the counter?
Where can I get it? And do you think it had any effect on his sperm?

Nikki -

Conception xr is not a perscription drug.  Our doc gave us samples and I ordered a month supply off the conception xr website.  It is also sold at the holistic fertility center I was going to.  But it is NOT an herbal supplement!  It is pretty much a multi-vitamin geared toward men who are TTC.  Our doc suggested he use it following his semen analysis.  He has good numbers and good motility but had poor morphology.  We asked the embryologist after our retrieval what his "deposit" looked like.  We were told what his count was and it did raise significantly from what it was at his semen analysis.  However, they couldn't tell us about morphology.

I can't say that it did wonders but we were willing to try anything that could have any positive effect!

I really think it is a matter of opinion on the 3 day vs 5 day....
My Dr. will not do a 5 day transfer and his stats are very HIGH...

I did a 3 day transfer and got BFP 1st try...

I have 5 friends, locally, that went to the same Dr. as I and here are their results:

Christie:  3 days transfer BFP did 2 IVF's both successful on 3 day!

Trish: 3 day transfer BFN 1st try, 3 day transfer 2nd try BFP!

Kristie: 3 day transfer BFP 1st try!

Jodi:  3 day transfer 1st try BFP - TWINS!!!! Transfered two.

Kim:  3 day transfer BFP 1st try...

So.... it varies, probably on the individual and the Dr.

Hope that helps...

Dear Daniella,

Thanks for the info, I am going to try and get some conception xr for my DH.  I think it is a bit late for this cycle (I am going for my mid-cycle scan tomorrow), but after this IUI we are going to wait until August next year to try IVF, so maybe I will get him to take the conception xr and ttc naturally until we are ready for the IVF.  I guess anything is worth a try at this point.

This is my second attempt with ICSI.My previous ICSI failed due to hyperstimulation and prior to that I had an ectopic pregnancy through IUI. Today is my 7 day post ET.Till about yesterday I had cramps in my abdomen and was hopeful that  probably the embies are trying to attach to mama. But today, since the time I woke up, no pains.I am having no symptoms as such, yes peeing a lot but thats because I am drinking a lot of water to avoid hyperstimulation,no headaches, heartaches, strong smell, etc. No AF symptoms either. But from what I have read in various forums its good to have AF symptoms...I am confused with zero symptoms!

Hello dear waitingtobamom - I was told that your symptoms can come and go, be more or less intense and you may nbot have any symptoms...This still does not mean you are not pregnant...I never had many symptoms even after my second beta revealed a 1570 count...The symptoms that I had during my first trimester were frequent peeing, boobs a little sore but not much and that was pretty much it until later in the 1st trimester...I am sure all is okay and just remember to stay positive and you are pregnant until your beta says that you are not...Hang in there and I will pray for  a BFP in your very near future!!!
