Dr. Jacobs,

I was wondering if you could advise me about what to do.  My last period was short and lighter than usual.  Following my period, I developed breast tenderness and swelling, which has continued for the last couple of weeks.

I have also noticed some slight abdominal pressure.  Could this be a symptom of an early pregnancy, or does it sound more like an ovarian cyst?  Please let me know what you think.

Thank you!

Lori L.

See your doctor, and get a pregnancy test done.  Based on what you relate about pressure and pain, it is possible you have a tubal pregnancy.  Get checked.
Good luck.
