Spotting

I got my BFP result only a week and a half ago, making me about only 3 1/2 weeks pregnant. HCG levels are rising nicely, however a couple of days ago I noticed some light spotting (light pink and brownish color). It's not everytime I go to the bathroom, only once in a while. I know that there is usually some spotting with IVF, initially when the implantation has occurred, and am hoping that this may be just that.  Has anyone else experienced this at this stage of the game?

ple,
How is it going with you pregnancy. Did you find out why you were having that spotting?

I had that happen to me before and ended up in a m/c hope that everything is going well with you and your pregnancy.

Take Care

Hi ple, I'm sorry you are experiencing this in your pregnancy.  Please make an appointment with your caregiver immediately if you haven't done so.  I have a beautiful chubby 5 month old, but 6 weeks into the pregnancy I started spotting and was put on bedrest, it helped a great deal.  I've read and have been told that as long as the spotting is not accompanied by cramping, alll should be in order.  I was worried sick throught the pregnancy, coz I mistook cramps for abdominal discomfort.

I wish you all the best.

Thank you both for your support. The brown spotting actually turned out to be "normal" and only lasted a week or so, on and off.  I am now 9 weeks pregnant, and so far so good (according to my RE)!

I had a girlfriend who had brown spotting almost throughout her entire pregnancy. I have come to learn that everyone's pregnancy is different and everyone experiences different symptoms and it is not worth trying to analyze every little feeling. It will drive you crazy. (Easy to say now!)

Lili246, sorry to hear about your MC. Debie, glad to hear it all worked out for you. Congratulations on your little one.

Thank you both, again.
