Progesterone question

Hi Dr Jacobs,

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer my question. I had a fresh embryo transfer on the 15th April. My PT is on the 28th. My period would be due on the 26th. My question is,

Would I expect my period to come if I am on progesterone and my treatment is not a success. I think the dose is quite low only one application at night. The dose indicates that each applicator delivers 1.125g.

Thank you

Shaz

The progesterone supplementaton may delay the onset of your flow.  For my IVF patients, I have them use 300 mg progesterone vaginal capsules 3 times a day.  Since I am a coward, I also hve them usea a daily injection of progesterone in oil.
Good luck.
