Hello girls. I have been taking ovulex for a month now. I usually have about 38 day cycles at the very longest. I started taking ovulex about 2 weeks after my af. I have noticed I have a larger appetite ( much larger ) I am very cranky ( my poor dh ) I am very broken out on my face in which I hardly ever have any acne. I am now 15 days late on my af and have been cramping lightly for 3 days. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I am kinda new at all of this and I am not sure when or if I have already ovulated.  Is there any suggestions or advice that you girls could give me? I dont want to quit taking the ovulex I want to give it a chance to work. Also when me and my dh bd certain positions hurt me on the right side of my abdomen. Mainly positions that allow for deeper penetration. Is this normal? Please reply

Vidia the doctor told me that is NOT normal ( the pain in your right side) and the heart burn that everyone feels is not heartburn . It is the pancreas overeactiing and what that is is acute pancreatitis which goes away in most people in a couple of weeks of days. As for the pain in the right side. it could be your ovaries but I would get a complete scan mine wasn't my ovaries but the pain was in direct connection to the Ovulex.
I did take Ovulex and for me I have no plans on taking it again

Hey everyone. I am new here as I see alot of other women who are too. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and have absolutely no period unless on medication. I became pregnant in Feb. '02 but gave birth on Sep.11, '02 to a stillborn baby girl. My husband and I have been trying to concieve again since then but no luck I was speaking to my doctor about starting Clomid but then I came across Ovulex. I must admit, after reading these posts, I'm kinda terrified to take it. The gas would be no problem, it's just the nightmares that I am worried about. How bad have they been and how often do they occur? Please let me know!!

I have been taking Ovulex for a little over two weeks and I don't think the side effects are that bad.  I am just happy that I can tell some sort of a difference because before I could not.  I have large breast so they always seem to be tender, but now they seem hot and one is always throbbing.  I have had a little bleeding, lower back pain, and tender breast.  I can't tell if the nausea is from the Ovulex because I always feel a little nauseated in the morning, sensitive stomach.  I do however believe that my sex drive is up and that I clearly have more cervical mucus.  I think the mucus is the most apparent side effect that I have had.  I feel more energy and happy.  I really hope it works I have bee ttc for two years and everytime I turn around my friends are getting pregnant unexpectedly and/or on accident!

Hello everyone,

I have been on Ovulex for 7 days with no side effects at all.  I take mine every 12 hours, 10 am and 10 pm.  No trouble sleeping either.  I just started to get slight cramps and lower back pain today which means AF is right around the corner I hope.  I am not regular at all, but just had an AF in August naturally.  I am staying positive this will put me on a regular cycle and I will O and get Pg.  I drink green tea daily and take womens once a day vitamins.  Just be sure to drink plenty of water daily.  Best of luck to everyone...

Hello ladies,

I love to read about all of your experiences with Ovulex!  My husband and I have been trying for 5 months now andI have been taking Ovulex  for 19 days now.  My af was due Sept.19, yesterday and nothing.  I have been a little cramping off and on for 5 days.  I took a hpt this morning and  it was -.  So, I was reading a few of your comments on how Ovulex can make you late because it make you ovulate longer?  If I started taking it 5 days before I got a +ot, could I really be just late because of Ovulex?  I have been unusually tired for 3 days now, bbs are little sore and fuller. I would really like to start af or get a
hpt!  Any one else really tired due to Ovulex?  Good luck to everyone!

HEllo everyone!  I was hoping someone would tell me...

I just started Metformin, I start ovulex the first of the week and once I get my period I am supposed to start Clomid.  I have seen several people say that I should not take Clomid and Ovulex together...No one medically sees a reason I can't.  What do you think?  Thank you!!!  ~Kimberly

Hello Kimberly,

Ovulex and Clomid are both meant to help your body induce ovulation only one is a chemical and one is herbal.  THere is a huge risk associated with Clomid for developing cysts on your overies that is why ultrasounds are required when taking that type of medication.  IN addition, Ovulex is also suppose to help balance and maintain normal hormone levels for you as well.  Even though you may want to speed up the process or feel that there may not be a good enough reason not to take both, I would approach that with caution.  There are some ladies on these boards that have lost entire ovaries due to hyperstimulation - so be sure that your doctor knows your plans before you do it!!!
