Hey all-

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but when I was reading about different things that affect fertility, cigarette smoking was high on the list.  It said smoking can decrease fertility by 40 to 50 percent each cycle.  If you quit, they said fertility goes back to normal within a year.  The reasons for this is that the toxins in cigarettes make smaller follicles and therefore smaller eggs, eggs that are not normal, changes in the cells, and it decreases how much of the LH hormone is produced in the brain.  All the more reason to quit!  Good luck with that and the ovulex everyone, I'm sending out positive thoughts to each one of you!!

Baby dust and prayers,

Evening Ladies,

The one and only side affect i have been experiencing, is a severe burning face !! has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Meg
I'm experiencing a lot of itching around the eyes and arms (mostly around my wrists).  I think I might stop Ovulex for a couple of days and see if the itch goes away.  I may be having an allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients.  It's hard to say as it's winter here and I normally get winter itch as my skin really dries out.  Anyway, are you still on Ovulex?

Juel-
The not smoking is going swell. And btw, your original post on the matter totally opened my eyes. I always knew they say you shouldn't smoke while ttc but i never looked into it. I snooped around the net last night quite a bit looking for info and pretty much exactly what they say smoking can do to your fertility is exactly what is wrong with me. I just have so many friends who smoke and got pregnant with no problem I was in such denial. So now I'm feeling a bit like a moron!! But thanks for your honesty on the matter, it totally helped me.
And on the book...isn't it fantastic? I let a friend borrow it a couple of years ago and have not seen it since but I so relate with Cammie and have always held the story close.

And the side effects to Ovulex....can you say "lets get it on"?? Without being vulgar... it's all I can think about and my husband is loving it. hehe
Good luck everyone!

You're welcome, I'm glad it helped! Keep up the hard work, you'll get your reward in the end! I know what you mean with the ovulex, hopefully that's a good sign!  I have only been on it for about 2 and a half weeks, so I'm sure that it's too early to do anything this cycle, but I'm hoping.  All I know is that my BB's have been achy since yesterday, never had that before in the middle of my cycle, I hope that's a good sign.  Good luck with the ovulex and keep the faith!

I am on my third bottle of Ovulex.  My AF is 16 days late.  I have tested and it says negative.  My breasts have grown about half a cup size and I have gained 10 pounds while taking Ovulex.  I believe it has gone to my breasts though.  Should I stop taking it or go down to one a day instead of 2?  Once you stop taking its like starting over and I'm on my third bottle. I quit taking it for two days and started to get cranky.

I had abnormal bleeding from ovulex too my doctor said it was my cervex bleeding but it was caused by some of the herbs that are in ovulex.  The bleeding does stop.

Hey I'm new to this site.  I have been taking ovulex for about a month now.  The only side effect I have is I have noticed white blotches on my legs.  I thought maybe I was dehydrated so I have been drinking at least 75 ounces of water a day.  Does anyone else have this?

cm98 - I haven't experienced any white blotchiness but I have only been on Ovulex for about 10 days. Is the water helping?

maryr - I do not have any experience with what you have described but I have read on a ton of sites where women say it makes their cycles last longer and people have responded telling them it just takes a while for  your body to adjust to the med. I don't know if it's true, it's just what I've read. And as far as cutting back from 2 to 1 a day, I personally wouldn't do that, what would the point be?

Oh wow.  I had no idea about the increased sex drive.  My hubby was wondering what was wrong with me these past few days, now I can tell him, lol.

I'm not noticing any of the symptoms ya'll have listed except my temperature seems to be up just a little bit.  I'm worried, though, at the weight gain someone posted above.  I certainly don't need to gain any weight -- need to lose it.  I think I will have to stop the Ovulex if I gain any weight.  Ugh.

annahopes - I have been on ovulex for 20 days.  For the past 2 days, I have been drinking about 80 ounces of water a day.  It has helped.  Didn't realize you had to drink alot of water with this.  May also try taking it around 8pm instead of 9pm because it seems like it started to more noticeable in the morning.

My AF came on time, I was taking it for 2 weeks already, & was actually not a heavy on my usual heavy days.  I also didn't have alot of PMS.  Baby dust to all!

Hi ladies.  I am new on this board.  I have been reading the posts for the past few months.  I ordered Ovulex a month and a half ago.  I gained just over 5 lbs within 2 weeks, which is very unusual for me.  I got off of it to see if that was what was causing me to gain weight and I have lost 2 of those lbs so far.  I also had headaches every day, but I know that those would have gone away with time.  I am considering going back on them again but am going to try without it for awhile.  My husband and I are actually doing a colon clense right now, which has been great.  I don't have any fertility issues (thus far!  Its only been 4 months and the Dr gave me a thumbs up) but on the website for the colon clense it says that it has helped women with PCOS and endomet....  It is not safe to do if you are prego but I thought it might help "get the house ready for guests"!

Ok, girls...so I have been cramping for two days now...could be AF coming, but I can't be sure because my cycles are irregular.  I'm on day 22 with Ovulex and haven't had any further symptoms other than the cramping.

mama1~ The herbal blend in Ovulex is as follows: Chaste-tree, Raspberry Leaf, Black Cohosh, Ginkgo Leaf, Echinacea Purpurea Tops, Bromelain, Garlic Bulb, Ginger Root, Ginsenf, Mate, Meadowsweet, St. Johns Wort, Valerian Root

I would ask your dr if any of these ingredients would interfere.  Hope that helps.
