Hey...does anyone of you who are taking ovulex thinks that you seem to be putting on weight? Ever since I started taking ovulex, I seem to have these hunger pangs which causes me to eat more thus putting on weight!

I don't know what is in Geritol but if you're taking a prenatal as well I would be concerned.  You can overdose on the vitamins A and E because they do not get excreted from the body like vitamin C for example.  Monica did you ask your doctor before you took it?  Does it say anything on the bottle?

YJ I just stopped taking ovlex about 7 days ago but did take it for about 7-8 weeks.  I had no weight gain or other side affect from it.  I am sure it probably affects everyone differently.  I read others had headaches while taking it as well.

3 days late and no sign of AF coming. Even if Ovulex does delay cycle shouldn't I still have the normal signs of AF arriving. Normally I have sore BBs and breakouts the week before and leading up to AF. I've always been pretty regular at every 34 days. Has anyone else had this happen on their first "cycle" of Ovulex? I'm just a little worried, at the same time I don't know if I should take a HPT for fear of the BFN.

Jackie: No, I didn't ask my doctor about it......I just took matters into my own hands and took both the pre-natals & the Geritol tonic 2 weeks up to ovulation & that was it........
My thoughts on the subject are......there is always going to be something to either think about, to worry about, or to analyze. After a certain point, I tend to just go with my gut feeling & my common sense......and I guess that this time, my gut feeling was correct.

Honestly, if I were to ask my doctor about every little ingredient that I am taking whether it is from a vitamin or from food......I would probably be on the phone all day long with her. Now, I WILL use my wisdom & research things on my own on the internet if I am doubtful about it, but for the most part I go with my gut feelings on things, and if I am wrong.....I know that the Lord will cover me in it, because I simply did not know....

Thanks So Much for your input Monica and Jackie, I have read up on what is in the geritol tonic and while there is no vitamin A or E there is a lot of iron and other things I'm not so sure about. there is also an overly abundant amount of iron and other  things in prenatal vitamins. I think I'll play it safe, my gut is telling me not to take both. but all the stories of babies in bottles of geritol are very tempting so I think I'll give it a shot. I think I will stop the prenatals and take geritol w/ a folic acid supp. until i ovulate and then I'll start back w/ prenatals.

I am so happy for you Monica may God bless you and your baby!

weazie - thanx. I think most of us who took ovulex experienced some kind of cramps.

StephMalkowski - for me, the first month I took ovulex, my cycle turned from 34 days to 28 days. Will see how this month (my 2nd bottle of ovulex) turns out.

Jackie
I stopped taking the Ovulex and I also stopped charting as well.  I feel I have been getting a little obsessed with trying to conceive.  Just trying to make my two week wait a little more bearable and keeping busy at other things.  I am half way thru my two week wait and if AF comes I will probably start up on the Ovulex or go in and see my doctor.
For me I mainly started taking the Ovulex because after my miscarriage my cycles became much longer than my usual 28 days also I had two months of charting where it didn't detect I was ovulating.  The ovulex got me right back on track I have ovulated the last two months and my cycle last month was bang on back to my 28 days.

I think Ovulex is a great.

Alright 4 days late. I'm trying to hold out until monday to take hpt (unless AF comes). that way i'm a week late and I'll be a little more comfortable that the results are "accurate".

Dear All,

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2005, took clomid for a month, conceived and had a beautiful little girl last DEc 05. I am so happy.

However, I was unable to breastfeed and so had periods in Feb, MAr, April 06, but missed in May. I was devastated. PCOS has reared its head again and who knows how long until all that awful weight gain, acne, hair loss/growth.

The issue is, is that I am so anxious about baby No2. bec. of my irregular cycle, and really dont want to take metformin and clomid as they are really powerful drugs.

SO I did some research and found out about OVULEX. Can someone please help me or tell me more about it. I am concerned that it may have negative side effects and read one account of a woman who miscarried bec. of the ovulex.

I hope someone can get back to me soon, esp. as we want to start TTC at the end of the year.

Bye for now, FKH

Kim0220 I wish you the best of luck tonight and have my fingers crossed for you.  I am also going to be sending much baby dust your way.  When I was taking the Ovulex I felt bloated and gassy(you are right it is awful).  I told my cousin's wife the same thing.  She asked me what side affects I had and I told her that I felt bloated and gassy.  I hope that it works for you like it did for me!  Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much baby dust to you all!!!!!!!!!!
