ambersparkle,

I'm not sure if it's a side affect but you are supposed to get dry before and after you ovulate.  Some women get more dry than others unless you are sexually stimulated.  You still might want to call your Dr. because there could be something calling your attention.  Just to make sure I think you should call the doctor and let them know whats going on and that you have a concern.  I'm quite positive though that it's just because you are at that dry time of you cycle.

I also want to add though that some women don't ever get EWCM.  So thats also common.  Did you ever have this problem before?  The ovulex did change my CM but I think since you are only on your second week that it hasn't really had a chance to fully do it's work.  Give it about a month.

I hope that helps!

God Bless and baby dust!

ambersparkle this is what I found out on the website www.justmommies.com

These are the types of mucous you will see during your menstrual cycle.
Dry: At the beginning of your cycle, prior to ovulation you will likely produce little to no cervical mucous. Also right before your period should start your cervical mucous may become dry again. If you do not notice cervical mucous you will want to record this on your chart as dry.
Sticky: You may notice sticky cervical mucous prior to ovulation. It feels sticky to your fingers when you touch it
Creamy: As you get closer to ovulation you will notice thicker, creamy-looking cervical mucous. This mucous looks and feels similar to lotion.
Eggwhite: Eggwhite cervical mucous is the term used to describe the mucous you have during ovulation. It looks like eggwhites and is slippery, clear, and stretchy.
Watery: Watery cervical mucous is wet and may be stretchy. You may notice this type of cervical mucous during ovulation or before having eggwhite cervical mucous.
Cervical Postion and Ovulation
You may want to check the position of your cervix to help you tell when you are ovulating. Not all women are comfortable with this and some women have a difficult time feeling their cervix. To find your cervix you may want to be in a squatting position or have one foot on a stool. Insert one or two fingers into your vagina and push them towards the back of your vagina. You will reach a spot that feels firmer than the rest of your vagina. Your cervix may feel soft like your lips or firm like the tip of your nose. You may notice your cervix feeling more open or closed. Find a comfortable position to check your cervix and use the same position each time you check. If you use a different position, you won't be able to compare the position of your cervix accurately. It may take you a cycle or two to determine when your cervix is softest, firmest, highest or lowest.

Right after menstration, your cervix will be low and easier for you to reach. It will feel firmer and closed. During ovulation your cervix will be higher and more difficult to reach. It will also feel soft, wet and you may notice it feeling more open. If you have given birth before your cervix may feel more open than someone who has not. After ovulation, your cervix normally returns to a more firm, lower position.

I hope that this helps you.

Much Baby Dust to all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the helpful info!!  I think that it is probably just part of my cycle- I can remember times when I have been drier than others, but this is sort of thick and tacky (TMI, I know)...and it caught me off-guard.  Anyway, thanks for the info!

Hey Jackie,

I am also Jewish and going through this process ( I think i posted my first message on page 20 or 21). Trying to make heads or tails of it myself. I am also a Social Worker and work with little children everyday.  It's not easy holding onto your faith in G-d when your prayers are not being answered at this time. Like all the other women here we just have to hold on to the belief that G-d has a plan for all of us.  I've read somewhere that in order to be a true follower of the Jewish faith one has to give up all control of fate/destiny to G-d. That has not been something I have been able to do (I am a complete control freak) but every night I thank G-d for the things he has given me and hope that he continues to bless me with his favor.

Also I was thinking of changing to the FertilityBlend does anyone know if that delays your cycles like this, too.  I know that I need to be patient and everything.  But it just feels like I am going backwards.  I go from having a normal 28 day cycle to one that is all over the place.  But maybe that is what they want is for all of us to relax and let it happen when it is going to happens, and for us not to stress and be like- I have to take my temperature and we have to hav sex on this day.( ha ha that is NOT me all!)

I've been reading all of your posts for the last few months.  I am now on my fourth bottle of ovulex.  My period has not changed.  The only strange thing that happened last month was that my cycle lasted only 22 days.  Without the ovulex, I was always 28 with the ovulex I have been 27 days.  I am wondering on whether to start taking the geritol tonic.  I don't know if I should keep on taking the ovulex and stop the pre-natals.  I hope someone could give me their opinion.

Have a good 4th of July.  Baby dust to all!

Mist,

I started taking the geritol tonic with my ovulex a few days ago. I take it like a shot with a chaser of a TON of water! Sometimes I drink it right before my green tea and that takes away the taste...although you don't care for that either...have you tried a little honey in your green tea? I've done that sometimes, and I enjoy it! Hope that helps!

Have a great 4th everyone!

Thanks for the Advice Steph, I will have to take mine with something or I would pass out! LOL But yeah I do take my tea with honey which help a little bit

Amber I am not sure I only take a half of what they tell you to because I take so many vitamins and Meds. I take a thyroid pill, Met x2, Juice Plus Vegtables capsule x2, Juice Plus Fruit capsule x2, Prenatal, Folic Acid, and of course Ovulex I also have added the green tea drinking and started the geritol tonic.

And yesterday I started spotting so far today I don't see a thing

thanks Honey,

BTW maybe you will be my guinea pig.  My doc said if you have bad morning sickness as I have, you take vitamin b6 25mg and unisom tablet together. Take it 4 times per day.  You will feel a little sleepy but it's better than feeling sick.  I never got to try it but perhaps you will.  There's also something called morning sickness magic by baby's bliss if you don't wanna take unisom.  Lemme know

oops sorry to keep posting but I have a question!

Can Ovulex make you go 'Wee" more often? I am serious all day long seem like every 30 - 45 min I am going to the bathroom. I never started timing it till I noticed I was going on the time. Anyone else have an effect like this? Also my back is hurting. I dunno???

God Bless You ALL,

Mist-

I am one Ovulex and starting taking it two monthes ago.  I also bought some Geritol tonic the other day to try it but I noticed after I bought it that all that is in it is B vitamins that you probably all ready get in your veggie pill? And 100% of your daily iron which you probably are getting in your prenatal.  And it is not good to get to much iron because you can overdose on it and that is not good either.  That is the reason that I have not started taking it to, because I take a prenatal and a B- complex vitamin.  But I also think that having to much of a good thing can be a bad thing.  Hope this helps maybe?
