New here...1st IUI...doesnt look good

Hi everyone,
Had my 1st IUI 2/3 with 2 promising follicles. But yesterday (on Valentine's Day, no less!) as usual, started spotting. Spotting today too. I typically spot for a couple days before AF. so guess I'll have it tomorrow.
I'm not supposed to have a blood test until 2/19 but it doesnt look good. I tried acupuncture for this cycle too...but then took a hpt 9dpiui and got a neg. And then met my acupuncturist who told me I probably wasn't pregnant. NOT a good day. (not going back to her!!) Of course here we are 11-12 dpo and I'm probably getting my period right on time. I'm trying not to lose it...I had so much hope!
We've been ttc our first for over a year. I'm 32 and now on bromocriptine (found I had high prolactin 3 mos ago) AND dh had surgery for a varicocele in Nov (he had lowered motility 30-40%). My hormones are ok now, and his motility for the IUI was good not great (42%) so I was really hoping...
I guess I'm gearing up for IUI #2...anyone else?
