Hi! My name is Jennifer and I am new to all of this.  My husband and I have our first appointment with a specialist tomorrow.  I am able to concieve, but my husband has no chance what so ever.  We are thinking about IUI as soon as possible, but we are really concerned that we will not be able to make mends meet.  We heard it is VERY EXPENSIVE. Can anyone recommend a good center? We live in Michigan.  Thanks

P.S. Please use real words or fill me in on abbreviations.  I am new at this!!!!!

What part of Michigan?
My clinic is in Rochester, MI but they also have a clinic in Flint. Maybe in Southfield but not sure on that one.  It is called IVF of Michigan.  The doctors and staff are wonderful!

Good luck on your journey,
Cindy

I am not sure what the condition is called.  He was born with it.  He had surgery at a young age to reverse it, but it did not work.  All that stuck in my head is that he cannot have kids

JenF - Hi, I'm also a fellow Michigander (Grand Rapids)  My fertility clinic is amazing - we got pregnant with triplets on the first try, and it costs us about $7,000 including meds.  (Very low compared to other parts of the country)  Good luck!

Hi JenF and ElizabethS-

I too am from Michigan.  ElizabethS- what clinic do you go to?? Did you do IVF that cost $7,000??  That's pretty good if that is what you did.  I am currently going to University of Michigan Hospital- we have done two IUI's, both unsuccessful.  We are thinking of trying somewhere else.
