Just wondering if anyone else started Lovenox when trying to concieve, or if it is more common to start after already pregnancy? I am concened about the possible risks of being on a blood thinner, especially when it seems like most people I talk to have started it after pregnancy not before. My perinatologist put me on 40mg a day and I am not pregnant yet. They have tested for all know clotting disorders but unable to diagnose anything. My doctor suspects blood clotting issues are a factor in my recurrent miscarriages. I have have been pregnant 5x now, 4 miscarriages and 1 beautiful daughter who is now 3. I had 3 miscarriages before having my daughter and thought the worst was over when I had her, but I lost a baby boy at 14 weeks a year and a half ago. Look forward to some feedback, Lisa
Lisa Ann i had 3 m.c before my daughter who will be 3 in january and 2 after her i am 19 weeks pregnate now. They never found a blood disorder but had me start lovenox once this one was concieved. I didnt like the idea at all. I took the lovenox for a few weeks and did not like the side effects. At 9 weeks i told my re that i would not take it anymore. She tried to convince me to stay on it but i refused. She tried to scare me with that if my body does in fact need it i could m/c again however to me the side effects were not worth the chance. I stopped the lovenox and i have been fine. The baby is good and thrieving. So i did not like the med. I would never do it again unless they can find a reason, not a precaution. Hope i could help.
