Hi I am new here and just about to begin the Lovenox treatment. Thank you all for posting your stories, it helps to answer a lot of my questions and to think about things I would have not thought of on my own.

My story is that I've had three miscarriages so far, one was an ectopic. The doctor's have determined I have a mutated gene, but it is not Factor V. It is homosystene ... something like that. I am not so educated on my condition, but am up to speed with what to expect with the Lovenox - thanks to all of you!

Hopefully, I will be back here soon with good news to post.

ok so i totally see the reason for the switch to heparin @ 36 weeks, i talk to a woman on another pregnancy website who was on lovenox too and just had her baby and they never swtiched her and she stayed on lovenox, she went in to be induced and the waited to get the lovenox out of her system before the epidural but she still had complications read:

"It was horrible! I had a bleed into my spine and the effects of my epidural wouldnt wear off, so I was practically thinking I was going to be paralized for the rest of my life, and my uterus wouldnt contract no matter how much they rubbed my stomach so i started hemmoraging (however you spell it).. I finally started getting feeling back on Friday but very tingly , and i had to get all these mri's to see where the bleed had gone and so forth it was terrible, but my baby is super healthy and she actually got to go home the next day.. I would've never done the epidural if i wouldve known how hard it was.... I want to blame it on my doctor but i was educated and informed about all the risks.... So whatever you do be careful and please let me know how everything goes!! "

i think thats crap her doctor should haven been more careful!!! her baby got to go home the next day while she was in the hospital for 6 days!

Hello, Just ran across your support site.. I have a 2 year old and had a miscarriage at 10 weeks 1 year ago.  I am now 9 weeks pregant and just started spotting brown today.  Help!  I am so stressed out.  Ultrasound showed everything ok but that is what they said last time.  I have the lupus factor and anticoagulant.. Any other people have this?  I am so worried as I remember it starting this way the last time.  I also have mild cramping?  Is this normal?

nFlynn-                                                                            I have lupus anticougulant and on 40 mg of lovenox and baby asprin. when i was 9 weeks pregnant i had bleeding as well it leaked through my pants and had cramps with it. i went to the doctor to take blood and had to wait 3 days for the results. while i had to wait the blood turned brown which the doctor said was a good thing. I got the results and they said that the hormone level was great and everything would be ok. I was still very scared because a year before that i was pregnant with my son and ended in a stillbirth at 36 weeks. I am now 24 weeks pregnant with my second son and doing well. so i could see where your stressed out but my doctors did say if it is brown it meant good and that it was just cleaning out what would have been your period. oh and i also had spotting after that for 2 months more but after that it stopped. it was a very scary time but you just pray and think positive. also when i was spotting i called the doctor as often as i was uncomfortable and they understood and did an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok with my son. so if your feeling uncomfortable or stressed call the doctor and im sure they would be glad to do another ultrasound. well i hope the best for you.

Hello!!! And Welcome!! I too am new to this site, and I wanted to give you some words of encouragement. I am 8 weeks today after one miscarraige and one ectopic...I too had some brown spotting...at first I would have called it brown tinged cm...but by Tuesday of this past week I would say spotting...it was very scary...I immediately called my doc...they said it is very normal and as long as it is brown I am fine...I was told to keep my eye on it and call if it changed...well it changed...but for the better in about a day...I was pretty much done with the spotting...I still see a tinge here an there...and although I am still nervous...I have faith that this one will be our first successful pregnancy.

So how is your spotting doing??
