Katrina...I'm no doctor but that sounds very bad. I would go get a second opinion asap no matter how much you may trust the docs you saw because, having been misdiagnosed for stuff before, I know better than to take things at face value. If it is a clot they could not find, Lovenox and/or Heparin will probably arrest it but not make it go away. A friend of mine had leg swelling right near the end of her pregnancy and although they could not find a clot they put her on Lovenox a little while too and induced early. You do not want to mess with blood clots of any kind because that's life and death you're talking about. Also, those side effects you talked about after giving yourself a shot dont sound normal either...I don't think anyone else I've read on the site had cramping afterwards so yeah...how high is your dose?
UPDATE: I got my ultrasound and the baby is only about 6 pounds! Wow, that's a shocker, especially since the weight keeps piling onto me even though I've slowed down my eatting and what I eat. They tried again to check my cervix but no luck, and a hell of a world of pain. My cervix, like the others on my mom's side, is just way too posterior, so they have decided to start the induction Sunday night by giving me a sepository to soften the cervix and hopefully start the official induction by morning provided I get to 3cm.

thanks. I called the office and since i see the doctor on friday for a follow-up i was told to wait until then for concerns. So today i decided that since I know my leg is going to hurt from the swelling it does during the day I was going to just deal with it and have as much fun with my daughters as i could since they left for my moms for 10 days.
Oh yeah i can say i did enjoy the day but i will not enjoy my night. My leg is not getting larger today than 15 3/4 inches BUT it takes about 45secs for color to come back to my leg once i press in on it. I am starting to think this who swelling thing and pain is because of majorly poor circulation since now that i have sat down from walking to the house from the garage My leg is turning slightly blue tinted and feeling like its cold on the inside. My leg have never felt hot at all this pregnancy.
I can say my foot is swollen also mainly around my toes. I can barely move my pinke toe and when I do it feels like I am ripping it off. I wear those darn Ted stockings and my leg still doesnt get better during the day unless i lay perfectly still and dont move except to use the bathroom.
okay so i think i just talked myself into a call to the on call doctor haha

Katrina: I'd definately call some doctors and get reviewed for that leg.
Mellisa: If you don't feel much movement, maybe you were just moving around too much for you to notice? Drink or eat something sweet and lay on your left side for a while and you should feel movement. If not, I'd call the doc. My baby moves around a lot all the time, day and night...he seems not to ever sleep. So when I don't feel movement it instantly triggers me to thinking something might be wrong. So if you have a bad feeling and are worried, try the above suggestion and if you still don't feel motion, contact the docs.

site wouldnt let me on since last night, wtf?
ok so i switched to heaprin yesterday and i dont like it! it hurts much more the lovenox ever did. im on 2ml how many are you on watergazer? i think thats a huge amount of fluid to push in to one spot, it leaves a lump there thats very tender and bleeds very easily, ive had to use bandaids to stop it, a rarely had this problem with lovenox. i have a bunch of 1ml syringes so im thinking it might be better to break up the injections to 2 shots instead so i can dispurse the fluid and maybe it wont hurt so much. but then again i already gott do it twice daily so that would mean 4 injectiosn instead of two....... idk what you guys think?

I am taking 5,000 units of Heparin, 1 cc syringe...so, that's 1ml...twice a day. It's a longer, thinner syringe...the type used for insulin injections, though the needle head is wider I think. I'm on a profolactic dose. The Lovenox burned like hell for me and made that "skin pocket" like you mention Veroki. However, I manage to bleed using both needles, and bruise up and get sore on each side. I wouldn't advise breaking up the shot. I did that once with the Lovenox and I couldn't bear it...too many damn injections and you run out of places even quicker and you get even more sore and bleedy. I am happy though that the Heparin doesn't hurt for me. I forget if you mentioned Lovenox hurting you, Veroki but maybe we have a reversal experience...the Lovenox was my own personal hellfire. Heparin doesn't feel like anything to me other than the prick of the needle.
I am so glad to be induced early. Call me selfish but I just can't bear it anymore. I've been reduced to sitting around all day unable to do even basic things for myself, lift anything simple like laundry, and get exhausted just going up a few stairs. My belly is so out there it's hard to sit comfortably at a dinner table the way I used to and sleeping in bed is hard because I toss and turn but it's hard to do that with a huge stomach! And I hate how my limbs go numb all the time. I just want this baby out. He's going to be spending time in the NICU anyway for his club feet so they will probably monitor his breathing there too but I'm sure he'll be fine. I will be at 38 weeks on Monday.
Also, a sidenote: I found out that besides the awesome healthcare of France, Britain, and Canada etc., Germany also gives a decent maternal plan. They give you 6 weeks paid leave before the birth, 8 paid weeks after, and the option of 14 months with 66% of pay after that for both father and mother which does not interfere with vacation or sick leave. Why the hell in this country can you not get stuff like this. Oh, and I forgot to mention they give you somebody (like in so many other countries) to help you out for at least 6 weeks after the birth to help with the baby and housework completely free of charge and also some limited daycare.
I am lucky my husband has a good job. He is a mechanical engineer and a project manager for his group. However, he is not on salary. This was voted on by the engineers because they make far more money with overtime pay than if they choose taking salary. Unfortunately this means my husband only has vacation time to use for me and the baby. He could get maternity leave...unpaid of course (laughable). So he's going to take 1 week off from his 2 weeks of yearly vacation time to be with me and the baby in the hospital and at home. It's bogus because really, it's not a lot of time since half of that is in the hospital. We are seriously considering that when we move from here, we move out of country if for the healthcare plans and benefits alone.

watergazer dont feel selfish. My dr let me move up my date and she was born at 37 weeks and she never went to a nicu so the baby can be fine even at 38 weeks.
