rachell~ do not throw them in the trash, take your container to your next doctors visit and they well dipose of them with their medical waste for u, also they will give you another sharps container to put them in and everytime it fills up you bring it back and they will give you a new one. if for some weird reason they dont, i know that if you fill your prescription @ walgreens and ask for a sharps container they will give you one at no charge.

veroki what you dont get talk to friends and look on ebay. I know with me and alot of friends we used each others stuff if we needed it. I was fortunite that i got alot, however alot of my friends used my stuff. Also when the baby get here if there is stuff you need let me know. Angelina is out of alot of things like her bouncer, and swing. Both are in really good condition.
My docs won't get rid of my needles for me so I have kept every one so far. I have a huge bag of them. They tell me to call my waste disposal people and ask them to get rid of them but since that will come with an extra fee I am waiting until I am all done with needles before asking...I am sure if they accept the "biohazard" waste it will come at a nice price for them and money is tight.
Veroki...ever consider doing an internet business through Ebay? It's one thing I am looking into doing once the baby comes. Amazon.com has a lot of books on the subject. I've done a lot of selling through Ebay myself and sometimes you get surprised at what you can make just from stuff you want to get rid of. If you can find ways to buy generally needed products wholesale by the case you can resell them at a decent price on Ebay and this can all be done out of your own home where you can set your own hours. There are people who specialize in just a few products like Hot Wheels or Baseball Cards and they make a fairly decent living if not a pretty good side income part-time.
I had another baby shower idea: Buy a bunch of blank white Onsies (they sell a Gerber 5-pack for $9.88 at Wal Mart) and get some puffy paint markers (.99 or less each at Michaels or Hobby Lobby) and hand them out to guests at the shower to design.
Anyone else suffering extremely painful feet now? I try not to walk anymore if I can help it because the pain is so bad. I know it's because my body is not used to all this weight but I am surprised at the sheer amount of pain. It feels like if I roller bladed for several hours, then went hiking for 24-some hours...and that's just if I walk from room to room in my one-floor house!
Veroki~ I know you want alot of things for your baby, and you will be surprised at what you will get. But I know from my experience I wanted this and that and the other, but I actually ended up taking some stuff back because I decided it wasnt actually things that she NEEDED and I might use just a few times, so I would focus more on things you NEED and will use.
Watergazer~ I never had pain in my feet... I am just curious but have had a lot of swelling? You might want to be sure your blood pressure isnt too high. I gained 40lbs and am an average height. But I still havent heard of that.
Watergazer~ I just thought of something else, you may want to see if the hospital will take your needles, or even a different doc. that you see. I am not sure, but its worth it if you dont have to pay for someone to take them. I dont understand why your doc. want take them, thats not really right.

bdantonio~ i dont have many friends w/ kids so no hand me downs are coming my way, thanks for the offer, but the one thing i know thats already purchased off my registry is the bouncer, lol!
my dh got some more good news, his job is cutting out bonuses and instead adding it to their salaries which is great cause he thought he wasnt even getting a bonus this year. so every little bit helps, im starting to feel like were going to be ok and im actually considering taking my maternity leave eariler than i thought, 6/23 sounds good to me, which means ive only got 1 month left!!! yea! my poor dh will have to work 2 jobs still till the delivery but itll work.
im just so ready for the next 6 weeks to fly by, im still nervous about being a mom and im starting to get anxious again like i was in the 1st trimester b/c i hope nothing is wrong with her and that shes going to make it out alright. i have such a desire to ask my ob if we can induce @ 38 weeks instead but i bite my tounge b/c i know what the answer is going to be. sigh.......

hello all, I have a question, my dh and I are ttc after 2 miscarriages and I have 2 copies of the MTHFR mutation, I spoke my OB today and she said when I get pregnant I will continue to take the baby aspirin and also take a 40mg lovenox shot each day. She said they work for different things. I'm not sure what "things" so I was just wondering if anyone knows? I just don't want to go through another miscarriage. Is this what others have done? I was worried because I don't want to have spotting and I've read others have. Any information from the group? Thanks for any information. God Bless
leigh328~ i can see why your asking, thats a little vague "things" lol. im only on 40 mg of lovenox but there have been tons of woman on here who took asprin and the lovenox and have gone on to have healthy babies. i personally lost my baby @ 15 weeks and now im on lovenox and im 33 weeks pregnant, its working and all you can do is give it a shot, no pun intended.

I'm so glad to have found this support group. I thought I am all by myself taking lovenox.
I am 44 years old. I get pregnant unexpectedly. I had 2 m/c 3 years ago. I've started prometrium orally (progesterone supplement) and lovenox 2 weeks ago. Last week, my dr. told me to take baby aspirin along with lovenox. I don't have any sign of bleeding or morning sickness. I am now at 8w2d.
I have a few concerns.
1) The ultrasound last week (at 7w3d according to my first day of last period) showed the baby at only 6w1d with not-so-obvious heartbeats. Does any one experience with slow development of the pregnancy due to lovenox and/or prometrium or because of my age?
2) Does your Dr monitor your coagulant regularly in spite of taking lovenox? I have not got bruises except around the belly areas of the needles.
3) Constipation is another serious problem I am having. Do you take any supporsitory or any medication?
4) Do you limit your physical activities?
5) Do you still have intercourse during this time?
I don't want to have another m/c and wanted so bad to have a child... Any experience, thought, sharing info is really appreciaed.
Last thoughts, I keep you all in my daily prayers.
Chi~I am ot sure about slow development in my case my baby always measured bigger...she was born at 38 weeks and she measured 42 1/2 weeks. I would talk to your doctors. My checked my levels about once a month. Constipation is normal during pregnancy, but do not take any suppository's you arent supposed to take anything at all until 16 weeks I think, and still no suppositorys, increase your fiber intake and that should help. I didnt limit my physical activities, but you should ask your doctors about that as well. I would also ask your doctors about intercourse, it should be fine but ask just in case, I have no idea about the risks with your age...just ask to be safe. Best Wishes...God Bless
Back again, with some questions too. I managed to get ahold of some Heparin. My own pharmacy said it wouldn't be a problem but suddenly it was and they were like...well, it was recalled. I said I told them this a month ago and I gave them my scripts a week ago and they said it would be fine both town for anyone who had some in stock and Walgreens did, so I got set-up with 20 little vials and 20 syringes. However, I am used to pre-filled syringes. I asked how to take it from the vials but they couldn't tell me anything...all I wanted was an explaination, not demonstration, and I do see my doc on Friday...but I want to know now. How do you take it? Do you have to turn the vial over and put the syringe into it that way? And do you have to get rid of the air bubbles? I assume it still goes into the belly fat, yes? I really hate feeling fearful of this drug too, since the warnings on it all say it's not been tried on pregnant women and there's no studies behind its use therein.
In other news, the pharmacies also won't take my used syringes, nor my hospital or doctors offices. I haven't called my waste disposal people yet and will wait until I'm done with needles. And if they won't take them then I will probably melt them down or something or create an interesting piece of art with them.
Personally, I have seriously limited my movement since months ago. It's too painful for me to walk around since my feet hurt so bad, especially the heels, and the small of my back also hurts now too...and if I get to walking around for whatever reason my uterus gets all balled up and hard like BH contractions but they tell me I have an irritible uterus and this is what that is. But as soon as 36 weeks rolls around (this coming monday) I switch to Heparin. I have my last ultrasound on the 9th, and then after that if I feel it's right I'm going to re-start-up intimacy with my husband since we pretty much were told to stop in the second trimester just due to the irritible uterus. But at this point I just want the baby out and the lungs ought to be developed enough now and I want this over with, so maybe sex will help speed birth along. I'm approaching 180 pounds now! If I don't stop I'll end up being 200 pounds by 40 weeks. I'll never get back to my 125-128 weight from before if I keep up like this and I'm only 5 foot 2 here...and the weight is doing a number to my feet, joints, back, everything.
