Hi Ronda,

it's been a little while...how old is your dd?  does she know that you're pg?  my mother has been spreading the news despite my best efforts to keep it quiet...i should be quite irritated by i think i'm too happy still to get really upset....i just hope things stay positive so i dont have to worry about how to deal with the bad news....i continue to be cautiously optimistic while i anxiously await my u/s...

btw, i think it's really cool that you have horses...must be disappointing not being able to ride though...i love horses but havent had the opportunity to be around them much.

keep in touch and let me knopw how you're doing.

RB,

My dd just turned 3 on 3/21!.  We have tried to ask her if she wants a little brother or sister and she really just ignores us. Hopefully once I start to show, we can get her to understand more.

We are trying to keep the news pretty quiet too because then if something happens you don't have to tell everyone under the sun.  I am staying positive and my u/s is scheduled to Tues, 4/1 (April Fool's Day).  I have been having morning sickness (all day) for about a week now. I keep telling myself, its good, that means the hormones are going up.

ARe you feeling any new symptoms?

Aisha,

welcome. Don't sweat the drugs and injecting yourself. Its not really as bad as you think it would be.  Just remember its a means to a end and you can do it. Most of the injectible needles are very small and often don't really hurt at all.

I got pg on my 1st IVF attempt, after 9 failed IUI's.  So keep your hopes up and think postive thoughts. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Ronda,

it's great to hear from you....sometimes i wonder if i'm really pg!  I havent had any m/s really just mild nausea occasionally...usually just lasts a few seconds and its gone...i do tend to get slightly car sick, even on short drives, if i'm not driving and I never suffered with car/motion sickness before.....so maybe its pg related.  I have had to go to the bathroom more often than usual as well but thats it for symptoms so far...my allergies gave me hell this week and i couldnt take anything so that was difficult but otherwise so far so good i think.

my u/s is on the 7/04 so i gues we can compare notes again in a couple of weeks...

Aisha...welcome and the drugs and injections were not that bad...like Ronda, i got pg on my first IVF attempt as well so there's hope...just look at us!  It's all worth it in the end.

lyly,

Sounds like your embies are good ones!

This is my first IVF and will be my last. WE cannot afford to do it again.  My only thought would be that we would have the frozen embies and could do a FET, which is alot cheaper, but obviously, still not free.  I will be 37 in March, so the doc's will let me do 3 if I want. I was told there is only a 5% chance that all 3 would take.....so dh and I decided last night to do the 3.  Only time will tell if that will be the right decision.  I have talked to several women my age and they all put in 3 and only one took.

Still feeling pretty crappy and dd doesn't understand why mommy cannot pick her up. Makes me feel terrible, but physically I'm not sure I could pick her up even if I was allowed to.

I'm not looking forward to the 2ww and my pg test will be on 3/12.

I'll let you know how the E/T goes.

Hi, my name is Jenny,

I had 3 embryos day 3 transfer put back on Monday and have my blood test on April 25th.  One 9 cell and two 8 cells.  I just got a call today saying that  3 embryos will be frozen they made it to blastocyst stage!

What does this mean to me??? Well, since the 3 best embryos were transferred and 3 smaller (slower) ones were still healthy enought to blast, I am assuming that I will be having triplets!

I will let you know what they say on Next friday.  Oh my gosh! I can not believe it! I called my hubby and told him! Um, how scary, but wonderful!

Jenny,

You must remember that even though they transferred 3, it doesn't mean they will all implant (even with the positive results for blast for the remaining embies).  It is a possiblity that you could have triplets, but if you check statistics, unlikely!

The doc would only let me transfer 2 embies because of the high quality, and only one embie took. I have 10 frozen right now.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Awe,
I really want a boy.  I was hoping for better odds.  I guess the more the merrier! Wow, 10 frozen, still with the great quality only one baby? Wow.
I guess I will be prepared at the ultrasound.  Reality.

Well, fingers crossed.  Congrats to you! How cool is your little ticker!

Take care and I will pray that i get even one embryo to implant.  I guess I just got ahead of myself!

Jen,it's not always the true-the more the marrier. It's a very high risk to have a triplet pregnancy and they always born premature.Of course,it increases your chances to get PG,but  for your own sake and your babies sake it's better if you'll and up with two or one healthy baby.Good luck!

Jenny,

Marina is also right, the more embies that implant, the more chance there is for complications for both you and the babies.  I say, hope for at least one and be prepared for more.

I like my ticker too.Hopefully you will soon need a ticker of your own!

OMG Everyone! I just took a HPT this AM and it said pregnant on the display, and I took the stick out and there were two lines sure enough, and it was dark, not faint! My Blood test is in 3 days and now I feel so much weight lifted!

How cool! I have had many many many negatives and to finally in all these years have two lines is amazing to me, I have not told anyone except my hubby.  We are thrilled!
IVF Finally worked! Yesssss!
I will let you know the numbers on Friday!

Ronda, where do I go for the ticker, is that baby-gaga.com, and can you briefly explain how to do it? (I kinda like yours).
I know they say be cautious about taking HPT, but I think a positive 3 days from actual blood test was long enough after the trigger shot.
I am getting my hopes up, but I have to believe that this is true.
Also your screen name is Arabs r cool, r you an arab? What country do you live in.
Is ronda an arabic name?

Reshma,
How will I know in 2-3 weeks? That is cool! I thought I would have to wait another 6 weeks for an ultrasound. I am so anxious.  I just want any info you can give me.

We transfered 3 embryos, and I am dying to know how many implanted! We are not telling anyone until we know the number of little stink pots that are in there!

jen,

You can click on the baby-gaga.com on my ticker and it will take you to the site. Just following the instructions on the site and cut and paste the url in your signature line on your profile.

I am actually an american, and live in the USA.  The username is in reference to my Arabian horses!

You may be able to tell somewhat by your numbers that multiples may be a possibility. REally high numbers often indicate more than one embie implanting.

The girls I work with, were kind enough (while I was waiting to see how many embies took) printed off an article about a couple that transferred one embie and it split 3 times and they ended up with triplets!!!. That was really so nice of them! However the chances of that are like 1 in 200,000.!!
