Is IVF more successful the second time around?

My husband and I just had our embryos implanted two weeks ago. We've been going through 2 years of unexplained infertility, 3 IUI sessions and now this. I've heard from people in passing that their second time of IVF was successful. Had anyone out there experienced this? I probably shouldn't be thinking that way as I go for my PG test Friday but I guess I'm used to many years of disappointment, I feel like I need to prepare myself.

Hi!
Did you put back fresh or frozen embryo? The first time we did IVF back in 02, it was unsuccessful. We did a frozen embryo transfer a few months later, and it was successful. We now have a 3-year-old son as a result. We have one frozen embryo left that we will use on Sept. 1, assuming that it survives the thaw. Please pray that it does.
I say all of this to say, my doctor suggested that my body does better with the frozen cycle, but I'm not sure why. I hope this helps a little.
