Immune specialist necessary?

I have been through 2 failed IUIs, 2 IVFs with 2 fresh transfers and 2 frozen transfers.  I'm 36, DH is 35.  Embryos always looked good and I've always had some to freeze.  However, we have never gotten a BFP.  I was recently tested for thrombophilia, APAs and NKs.  All were normal except NKs.  I'm pretty high in the killing % at 14.3.  We've considered IVIG possibly for my next fresh transfer.  I feel I have a good RE for the IVF. My question is this:  Should I consult with a Reproductive Immunologist in addition to my regular RE?  I just want to make sure I'm covering all my bases.

Thank you.

The whole issue of natural killer cells playing a role in fertility is very controversial, with inadequate data to support the contentions of the few who promote the testing and treatment.  Intravenous immune globulin is als controversial.  Only 1 investigator has produced data to imply that there is benefit to the treatment.  No one else can duplicate his results.  IVIG is not without risk.  A single treaatment is derived from blood donations of 750 people.  From a risk stand point, it is like getting 750 transfusions.  At this time, I would say to stick with your RE.  If you feel you must see one of the very few GENUINE Reproductive Immunologists in the country, you may wish to contact Dr. Billy Kuteh, in Memphis.
Good luck

Thank you for your timely response.  I did a web search for Dr. Billy Kuteh in Memphis and nothing came up.  Any ideas on how to locate his web site or practice?  I truly appreciate your time.

It is possible, by typo, or otherwise, I mispelled his name.  Try Kutteh, and check the University of Tennessee, Dept of OB-GYN.
Good luck.
