I recently had a failed IVF cycle. One cycle was cancelled due to a large cyst in FEB., then in March the cycle was cancelled on day eight due to poor response. In April we retreived 2 mature eggs which ended up in a chemical pregnancy. i am 31 years old with diminished ovarian reserve. I am considering donor eggs, but this appears to be SOOOO expensive. Does anyone have any cost related info for me. We have taken out loans for over 14,000 already and we are common people, we just want a baby!

Hi - My name is Meg & I have done it all.  Failed/cancelled IVF's - failed egg donor with no embies to freeze.  My husband & I decided to try the egg donor again of course shelling out more $$$ we don't have.  My transfer is Monday - today they were able to retrieve 22 folicals!  I am hoping to have a few to freeze this time incase it doesn't work.  I can't do the $$$ thing again.

My Dr. suggested starting the adoption process to coinside with this donor round.  It has taken some pressure off.  I am still very nervious - Ijust want to be a mom too!

I am 37 and have been diagnosed with premature ovarian failure a few years ago.  It has been a very rough road but I am hopeful for this go around.

The process is very costly but my sister-in-law keeps reminding me that I won't care about the cost if it works.  She is right, however, it is very hard paying the loan I took out for the 1st donor cycle each month with nothing to show for it.  So just prepare yourself.

Hope this helps - take care.
