Hi Morgan1. Sometimes you feel that you have no control over things and that you have to listen to the docs. In your case, I would listen to the doc. Your goal is to have a baby, but not at any price, if your baby has soem health or developemtnal problems later one. This is my opinion, I can't decide for you!

Fourtyfour, how are you? What's new with you? Any new treatment....?

Hi Fiso,  Congrats.  I posted to you in another section but I guess you did not see it.    We are seeing the doc on the 24th for a consult to see when we should do IVF.  My immunologist gave us the green light to go ahead.  Yeah.  We  need to do ivig with the cycle so we are researching costs and if our Tricare will cover the ivig.      I am excited and scared at the same time.    I dont want to go through another miscarraige.  It took me 5 months to feel better after the last one.  My hormones have been out of wack.    I feel confident that this time it will work though.  I am going to start the accupuncture to reduce my natural killer cell levels since they are elevated and have been taking fruit and veggie pills to help that also.    I will have to do heparin, folic acid, progesterone and estrogen with this pg.  I will be one giant pin cushion thats for sure.

Happy belly growing and maybe I can go downstairs again and stay there.    Take care all.    Baby dust to all.

Hi Fiso-

Thank you for your reply. After speaking again to the specialist who originally ordered the treatments, my husband and I have decided to continue with the prednisone, lovinox, IVIG and aspirin through 6 months. After all, if it worked once.........well we are just keeping our fingers crossed. So far, so good. Everything looks wonderful so we will just continue on as planned. The specialist also made me realize that the perinatologist is the baby's doctor, not mine, and I am the one being treated for antiphospholipid antibodies along with antipaternal leukocyte antibodies. The perinatologist I am seeing doesn't realize the impact that these treatments have had on this pregnancy even existing.

I am so glad I found this site, because for 9 years I have felt so all alone in this battle. I would tell my husband that I felt like such a failure, because even trying my hardest I couldn't do what millions of women do every year by accident.  But after years of heartache, MANY different "specialists", tests, experimental treatments and lots of money (that we didn't have), we finally found someone who truly wanted to help us and was educated in the right areas to recognize what was causing me to miscarry.

I thank God for all we have now. Every one in my life gave up on us ever having kids, except for me. I wanted it too badly. I realize how fortunate we are to have our son, and another on the way. I just want everyone who reads this to not give up. Don't ever give up. It will happen. Things will come together at the perfect time, with the perfect treatment, and the perfect baby will be born.

I honestly know that I cherish my son so much more than if I had never gone through all we went through to get him here. 6 miscarriages over a 5 year period was excrutiating - and I don't wish that on anyone. My heart breaks all over again to read your messages. But I want to wish you all the very best of luck and I will keep you in my prayers.

Morgan1
I think you've made the right decision for you, and applaude you for doing all the research you could, seeing the doctors, listening to their advice and making the best decision for your family.  I'm sending you tons of baby dust that everything continues on the right path!

We had our last (hopefully) endometrial biopsy yesterday and repeated a couple blood tests, and should hopefully know in 10 days what the outcomes are and what Dr. Stephenson's plan for us is going to be.  Still praying to get into her IVIg study if that's God's plan for us - mostly trying to live each day to it's fullest and not worry about results of yesterday's test because worry does nothing but stress us out!!!

Best wishes to everyone!

Fortyfour, glad to hear from you.
Wishing you good luck with all the injections, drugs, etc that you will be taking. It's never a fun time and on top of that the incertainty of the outcome.
The acupuncture can not do anything wrong, if it does something, it's always positive. It will also give you at least half an hour of relaxation at every treatment!
I did acupuncture for this round of IVF, and I got pg. I'm sure that somehow it has helped.
Thinking of you. Keep us posted on your journey.
Tons of baby dust to you.

Hi,
I have a 4 year old and have had 3 m/c since his birth.  I am going to do IVIg with Dr. Beer (http://www.repro-med.net) next cycle.
I have 2 good friends that had sucess with it after recurrent m/c following one live birth.
I have started with 2 preconception IVIg  and I have had zero side affects.
For the woman in Chicago, try Dr. Coulam www.inciid.org
best of luck. -Katharine
