Dear Doctor Jacob, We are planning to go for IVF, I am 33 years old and my husband is 31. What are the success rates for first cycle? My obgyn did all my fertility tests and my husband went thru semen test, do you think the RE will ask us again to go thru the tests? on your website I remember reading the one should go for tests like FSH on 2 nd day during periods but my obgyn didn't do my tests during my periods time, do you think the results will be different in normal days comparing with periods time.

I THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR TIME

IVF success rates are very much facility dependent.  Our embryo lab director just completed a routine inspection of a lab whose pregnancy rates are about 1/3 of ours.  I do not know what tests were done by your OB, or if they were adequate.  Your RE will have to make the determination as to what tests he/she thinks need to be done.
Good luck.
