Hello,

I am new to this site but wish I had found it years ago. I have been on IVF for 10 years with one pregnancy. Our daughter is now 5 years old (and gorgeous).

We are now having our third IVF cycle since having our daughter and are due  to go in for egg retrieval Sunday or Monday.

I have been reading your posts for a while now and feel as though I know you all a little. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Good luck

Shaz

Shaz - I had my retrieval today as well.  How did yours go?  It was much more painful than I thought, but we were able to get 10 mature eggs from one ovary.  We are doing icsi and will find out tomorrow how many were fertilized.  (my dr. says it is typically about 70%)

It is nice to know that I will have a friend for the 2ww.  Keep me posted on your progress.  I will keep my fingers crossed and send you the best baby vibes.

Out of curiosity how did your retrieval go?  I thought I had been doing so well with the shots...no side effects, and then I cried hysterically after the retrieval.  Go figure.

Anyways, I am rambling best of luck and please keep in touch.

Hi all,

Thank you so much for your support. Our retrieval went very well yesterday. 12 eggs, not sure how many have fertilised yet. We will find out tomorrow when we go in for transfer.....I will keep you posted.

Elizabeth,
I'm so glad your retrieval went well. Was this your first IVF cycle....it's pretty tough isnt it? The ups and downs are hard to take sometimes. Be kind to yourself during your 2ww, make sure that you look after yourself emotionaly and physically. It will be great to go through this wait with other people.
I am praying for us both.

Thanks for everyone's support.  We had 10 mature eggs and all fertilized   We will be doing the transfer today at 1:00.  I slept about one hour total last night...mostly out of excitement.  We will know if we are pregnant one week from tomorrow.  It will probably be the longest week of my life.

Shaz & Baby Bound - I am here for you anytime. Hopefully we will all be celebrating New Years at the hospital!

Elizabeth - Wow, that is amazing to get 10 eggs and have all of them fertilise. Good on you, that is great news. How many embryos did you transfer back. I had two transfered back Thursday and I feel pretty good. Did you have blactosyst transfered, is that why your wait is only 1 week? I do so hope it works for you. Fingers crossed.

Babybound - Good luck for your 2ww and here's hoping that the outcome is good for all three of us. Please excuse my ignorance, but I have seen the acronym (spell check) iui used around these posts but am not 100% sure what it stands for. Is it insemination?

Thanks everyone else for your support

Baby Bound & Shaz

We had 3 eight cell grade A embryos transferred last  Thursday.....we will do the initial blood work next Thursday to get a baseline and then the pregnancy test on Saturday.

Do both of you have to wait two weeks from last Thursday to find out your results?  How many did you put in Shaz?

I am not feeling too different, a bit tired...but that is the norm for me.  How about you two....any signs of pregnancy?  My nurse told me that I could start having morning sickness within the next week.  I have never looked forward to being sick to my stomach.

BABY DUST TO EVERYONE
