My name is Tanya,31 years old, and am going to start another cycle of IVF on 4-18-08 with an endometrial biopsy scheduled for 4-14-08. Initially the RE said that we were the ideal canidates for IVF and should have no problems getting pregnant with IVF. I have two children from a previous mariage and my husband has one from a previous marriage. I had a tubal ligation 10 years ago (BIG mistake). Now I am remarried and we would like to have a child together.
At the beginning of FEB. I had an estrogen producing cyst that was very large on my left ovary so I was unable to start stimulation then. Then last month my cycle was cancelled on day 8 of stim. due to poor response. I had 5 follicles and a "clunky" uterine lining. Now I have been termed as having a low ovarian reserve. I only had 4 antral follicles at the beginning of the last cycle. My RE says he is going to double my meds to menopur 150iu in the AM and follistim 450iu in the evening with hopes for a better response. If anyone has any insight to the issues we are having I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU! I am scared that I am going to spend thousands on meds for no reason and end up heartbroken.
