Has follistim made you tired?

Hi there--I'm new at this site and was wondering if any of you have been extremely tired once you began taking follistim.  I took it a few months ago for a failed IUI but not at this high of dosage.  I didn't have any side effects from it other than the emotional craziness and feeling bloated.  I'm just wondering if I'm stressed and therefore tired or if anyone has had follistim affect them that way.

Machelle,
I have taken Follistim for 4 cycles and have always been tired and crabby and exteremely emotional.  It seems to hit me a little differently everytime.  The first time I took it I was so difficult to deal with.  Everyone got on my nerves so badly....I couldn't even stand myself.  I think the higher doses could make you more tired.  They are raising my dose to 400 IU'S  twice a day for my upcoming IVF.  Trust me.....I am not looking forward to that!  Are you doing IUI again or IVF?  Good luck.

I am on my first IVF cycle and just started my follistim.  Honestly, I thought my crazy mood swings and depression may have been making me extremely tired, so I am kinda glad to hear you are tired from it also.

I started on 350 and they reduced me to 300 today and 225 for the next two days, so hopefully the extreme desire to do nothing but veg on the couch and feel sorry for myself will go away soon.

When is your retrieval?

Hi Melissa,
My IVF was cancelled in July because once again, I didn't respond well to the meds.  I had six follicles growing, but they stopped maturing halfway through the cycle.    We are going to try again in November, the doc wants to do some FSH tests next month.

So when is your retrieval?  How exciting!  I wish you tons of babydust!  Keep us all posted on your progress.
