I am nervous about having my first IUI this coming cycle.
I really don't want to talk to family about it, so I thought I would see if anyone has had these and what the experience was like. Also the chances of this finally working for us.

Nothing to it.  I had three IUIs;none worked :( but there is nothing to it.  You lie on a table and the nurse inserts a catheter.  You wait for the sperm to be brought into the room and then they insert them through the catheter.  The worse feeling is the cold catheter.  Then you lay on the table for thirty minutes.  Be sure to drink lots of water I got really nausead and the nurse said it was because the injections make you dehydrated.  If you need more info let me know.

I had my first IUI on May 10th and I am now 6 weeks pregnant.

It was not too bad.  A lot of waiting.  I had to wait a long time for the sperm washing and then I carried it to my doctors office.  They got me right in.  My cervix was a little tight so they had to do some clamping and then I laid back for a half an hour and after that I went about my regular day.

I took clomid with my IUI, I am not sure if you are using something.

Baby Dust to you,
Heather
