Fell Down Went Boom

Okay, so I did it...I fell down the stairs...and I am a wreck.

We just moved Monday so I guess I'm not as familiar with the house as I thought I was.  Of course, it was 11:30 last night, DH was at work and I was all alone.

I called OB the second I got collected and she said that what was done was done, but that everything should be okay.  I'm 16 weeks, so she said that helps.

I'm on Lovenox, so I'm pretty badly bruised and really, really sore...but I managed to punch myself in the gut and I'm still in a panic.

I know OB said everything should be fine, but I am a little more than freaked out...so any prayers you girls could offer up for me and The Bean would be greatly appreciated.

I hope each of you is doing well - I keep every wonderful woman on these boards in my prayers each day.

OMG Heathermac that is so scary.  I'm sorry you are hurting and so worried.  I have just said a prayer for you and hope you'll soon be feeling better.

Take care of yourselves, I'd still see / call  the doc just to be reassured.

HeatherMac,
I know you are scared to death right now, but let me tell you those little babies can be quite tough.  When I was pregnant with my first daughter(I was so young and stupid) they told me to do everything I would NORMALLY do.  I was 17, so I went water skiing, I know, now I would never think of doing that.  I fell, landed hard on that water, I actually spotted a bit afterward, was put on bedrest for 2 days.  Long story not so short is that Kendra is a beautiful, fiesty, stubborn 14 yr old who is as healthy as she can be.
Take Care and take it easy and I am sure everything will be fine.  I'll say a few of those prayers too!

Heathermac, Hope you're OK! That must be soo scary.  At this stage in your pegnancy I'm sure the baby has lots of protection. Try not to worry. My girlfriend had a fall at about 20 weeks and baby was fine. Take care...do you have handrails? If not I would install them, especially when we get really big I hear our sense of balance is off. Take care..cassandra

Heathermac,  that is so scary!  Last night I actually fell UP the stairs and thought, wow if I was pregnant, that would have been awful.  I agree with everyone who posted - your baby has a lot of cushion at this point.  I'll join the group in sending you the very best wishes and hope that everything is fine with the baby and that you will heal up quickly.  Take care.  Karen

Heathermac

I am sure that was terrifying. I hope your bruises are better today and the bean is blissfully unaware of any of this. Take care and keep us updated as to how you are.

Heathermac,

"ouch".......I would be worried to, but as the other girls have said, our babies are very well protected in there...Perhaps you could go to the doc's and just get him to listen to the heartbeat....Im sure that would reassure you.....

You and bubs are both in my prayers....

heathermac - you poor thing.  It is hard enought to take a fall like that, and then to be pregnant on top of it all.  I believe what was posted above, there is a lot of protection for your baby.  I would use this as a reason to lay down for a few days and stop unpacking for a little while.

I will keep you in my prayers.

Hey Heather, I hope you are feeling better.  I can't believe you're 16 weeks already.  I wishing the days will fly by so 12 weeks will get here already.  Take care of yourself and watch out for those evil stairs.

Girls,

YOU ROCK!  Thanks for your support in my time of panic!!

I'm doing much better, thanks, just a few nice bruises...courtesy Lovenox injections.

I took it easy this weekend and slept a lot...it suddenly got VERY hot here, so it was best that I holed up in the AC and did nothing.  I feel much better.

Again, thank you so much for your well wishes and good thoughts...with you, I was able to make it through this whole ordeal.

THANKS, AGAIN!!
