I am 3 weeks since transfer and I just stopped estrace (but, still take prometrium) will my body take over producing estrogen now?

The amount of estrogen your body makes 3 to 4 weeks after egg retrieval depends on how many cells lining ovarian follicles remain after retrieval.  It is those cells which make estrogens.  At about 6 to 8 weeks after retrieval, the placenta is making estrogen and progesterone.
Good luck.

Thank you.
How can my Doctor know this? From the retrieval itself? I've only had one beta done and he said I was very pg. He reduced my estrace from 2mg to 1mg for a week after the beta was done and now I'm waiting for u/s mid August.

I keep my patients on estrogen and progesterone until 8 to 10 weeks of pregnancy (6 to 8 weeks after retrieval) and stop hormones 48 hours before checking levels.
Good luck.
