I tuned into Lifetime when the couple was checking through ultrasound about their embroyos....not pregnant.  It was their 3rd INF.  YIKES!  As it turns out ... the couple really wants a baby (boy does that scenario sound familiar) ... even the baby room is furnished.  The movie was "Mom at 16".  The teenager got pregnant by accident and is having difficulties taking care of her baby.  She observes the couple in their baby room with her baby loving it and holding it like a couple should.  Why are these movies on Lifetime so darn realistic?  They hook you within 5 minutes!

Geez..... what a tear jerker!  I will say .... like most Lifetime movies..... it does have a happy ending.

Believe me...... my DH would never watch Lifetime.  He was in the other room watching basketball!!  He claims that Lifetime is for women that hate men!  He is too silly!

I watched the movie and cried the whole time.  I had no idea that ivf would be in the plot.  I thought it was wierd though that they had not done a pregancy test, just an US to see if the embryos implanted.  Maybe i misunderstood.    I cringed at the part when the girl told the teacher she was mad because she was too old and dried up to have a baby.  Ouch.  I feel that way sometimes.  My hubby loves to watch lifetime with but was not home last night.

I have a room that will be the baby room and now has arts and craft in it.  I refuse to do anything babylike to it until Im 99 % sure baby is coming.

I didn't see the beginning of the movie.  So they never did a pregnancy test and went straight to the US.  Interesting.  Hollywood.  It is more dramatic if they are doing an US as opposed to a pregnancy test!  I think that is soooooooooooooo awesome that your husband likes Lifetime.  My husband constantly makes fun of me for watching it!  He would much rather watch the chopper shows!

I know what you mean about the "old and dried up" comment.  My motto is and always has been..... age is just a number.  I don't look 42 and don't act dead....yet anyway!  HA-HA!  And anyway..... today on Today they were talking about Sarah Jessica Parker turning 40 and they said that 40 is the new 30.  Perfect!  I'll consider myself 32..... if I was concerned about the number!

Hey 44 , I have to say that I am in the same frame of mind , I will not get all the baby stuff together until I know forsure that I am bringing one home. Although all my friends are keeping things from their children to give to me as soon as I announce our pregnancy, ( talk about pressure).

I'm glad I missed the movie, that's all I need to cry for a few hours over a show, my old man wouldn't know what to do with me.

Yeah,  I dont look 44 either.  People are always surprised by my age.  My attitude has always been young.  I have a sister 18 months older than me and she acts and thinks 10 years older than me.  Being 34 again is cool with me.

My hubby will watch lifetime and cry with me.  If it is a scary  murder one he has to leave the room when things get creepy!!!

I have one girlfriend who is sure I am going to have a boy one day and is saving her boys stuff for me.    I hope she has cotton balls in the box.  Ha!

Baby stuff..... I actually have a huge box that were gifts from that first pregnancy that ended up in the miscarriage.  I was so excited I told my in-laws when we were in Las Vegas for my father-n-law's birthday.  My sister-n-law and her husband were there and my brother -n-law and all his family.  I didn't want to say anything because it was early in the pregnancy, but they were suspicious because I was on vacation and not drinking.  So that Christmas they sent ALOT of baby gifts that we never unwrapped.  I had the miscarriage on December 19th.  They are still in the box wrapped up ---- it will be fun to unwrap the gifts someday.

As far as a baby room ----- nothing.  My house has two extra bedrooms.  One is a guest room, which may be turned into a game room someday and the other is an extra living room with couches, etc.  I am definitely with you on that 99% sure.  At one point I did have some friends saving their stuff for me..... but I think they have given up!

Hello ladies,
Almost missed out on the converstion here.  I had a lot of company this weekend, so I am a little behind in my chats with you all!

I saw part of the movie and fell asleep before the end of it.  Bummer, since I really was interested when I saw she was going through IVF.  I am going to try to Tivo it for the future.  They always replay those movies.  However, I didn't miss out on the "too old and dried up to have your own baby" part, and it made me cry.  I don't think I would EVER recover from a comment like that if someone said that to me!  It made me cringe. How awful!

I'm with you girls on the nursery thing.  I have a room set aside, but it needs new carpeting and paint.  We use it as storage right now.  I don't want to do anything with it until I am sure there is a baby is coming.

My brother and his wife are finished having kids of their own, and want to give us their beautiful baby furniture.  I'm thrilled. It's in great shape and I know they paid a fortune for the stuff.  He was talking about bringing it over.......but I can't even deal with having a crib in my house with no baby.  Fortunately, they completely understand and are just hanging onto it for us.

I hope you ladies had a great weekend and a good Easter for those of you who celebrate!

By the way everyone, if you are interested in seeing "Mom at 16"  it will be on the Lifetime channel again this Sunday afternoon (4/3) at 2:00pm CST.  Just thought I would let everyone know!

I did too!  That is a shame!  I am a sucker for movies with a happy ending!  It gives me hope!

I want for all of us on this site and anyone else encountering infertility to have a Hollywood ending to this rocky road or roller coaster of infertility!
