Hi doctor,

A doctor told me to try taking DHEA as it may help improve egg quality. Another doctor told me to immediatly stop taking it.  I am going to do an ICSI cycle in a fortnight. Do you think I should take it or not ?

thanks

Your ovaries and adrenal glands make DHEA and DHEA-sulfate in large quantities.  DHEA, itself, really has no biologic effect.  It is a very early pre-hormone in the pathway to make the steroid hormones, like estrogens and testosterone.  Taking it probably does nothing except waste your money.
Good luck.
