I'm actually happy about negative betas, can you believe it??

I'm gonna have a period and I'm actually happy!

Happy that the waiting is finally over, that is. RE said its just started downhill, went from 79.9 on Monday to 76 today, so I should expect AF sometime during the next week.

He also said I should not start any meds until beta is back to zero.

I got off the phone so fast I forgot to ask a whole bunch of questions:

How does it work after a failed pregnancy/miscarriage? Will I have to skip a cycle to let my body get back to 'normal'? Or can I go back to trying with meds right away? RE said not to start anything until beta is back to 0, but what if I start AF and beta is not 0 yet? What would count as cd1?

I can't wait to get started on the next cycle. I already wasted a whole month!

Oh by the way, I heard another "we've been through ART for so long, we decided to take a break from it all and I got pregnant on my own!" story from the lab technician today.

Does anyone think there is anything to these stories? I've heard about 1/2 a dozen of them now and I'm starting to wonder if its time we took a break for luck too!

I suppose it depends on what kind of infertility you have. If you ovulate and can have sex to get pg i suppose it's a great possibility it could happen. I could take a break until the cows come home and will never get pg unless we see the doc. My doc says to wait at least 2 months for hormones to get it together.

May baby dust sprinkle you home, soon.
