Hello everyone....  I am ashamed at how long it took me to get back on this board and report my progress.  DH and I tried IVF in July 2005 and then went to see a specialist in New York.  We finally decided to take a significant break from all the madness and promised to re-evaluate everything at the beginning of 2007 and decide whether to adopt, do more treatment, etc.  well...  Jan. 2, we learned we were pg.  We were still scared because we had already suffered 2 miscarriages, so were hesitant....  but...  we made it through the heartbeat and before you know it, we had passed the 1st trimester and then the 2nd... I am now in my 38th week and still have to pinch myself!!!  We are having a girl (Jocelyn Dianna) and are both so excited!!!!
I wish all of you the best and would love to hear your stories.
While we didn't do anything special during our hiatus, there are some significant things that I believe helped make our dream come true...  I went to a new endocrinologist for my Hashimotos (thyroid condition) and she diagnosed PCOS (even after fertility docs didn't even mention it!!!)... so she put me on metformin, got my thyroid regulated and about a year after my first visit with her...  we were pregnant...
anyway...  i look forward to reading your stories and helping where i can...
much love to all of you.....

Trish,
Congratulations on your pregnancy and impending birth.  I know you went through so much to get to this point.  You so deserve this   I check the board every once and a while even though I am no longer doing infertility treatments.  It is so nice to read about success stories from the women who have been trying for such a long time, such as 44 (Darcie).  I wish you the best of luck w/ your little girl.  I know you will be a great mother
Take Care,
Meg
