A Faint 2nd Line???

Ok.. I am trying to keep myself from jumping out of my skin... it is 4 days beofre my period is due.. Wed. is the day I go in for my blood test at the clinic.. but I did my First Response this morning.. THERE IS A 2ND FAINT LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost fainted in the bathroom.. I was up at 5:30 (and it's a Sunday!).. I just couldn't wait any longer.. my poor DH stumbled in to verify the 2nd line.. but he is yelling at me right now to come back to bed and to not get my hopes up!!

I am sure he is right.. but this is finally something... something!!!!!

I am going to do a 2nd HPT on Tuesday... if I can contain myself!!!

Baby4us,
How long has it been since your HCG trigger shot?  It can still register on an HPT if it has not been 10 days since your shot.  I am just warning you because I have gotten false positives twice now because my body metabolizes that trigger shot really slowly.

If it has been more than 10 days....well that sounds very hopeful!  It may be good news!  Please keep us posted....we are all rooting for you!

isn't it amazing how excited we can get over a faint second line on a little stick!? i got so tired of trying to see that second line that i started buying the digital read-out tests. they're easier to read, but it's also really hard to have a stick mocking me with that very clear "not pregnant" print out.
right now, i'm trying to be strong. my blood p/g test is tomorrow and i'm trying really hard not to go buy a hpt to use first. it's gonna take lots of luck and lots of willpower, but i think i can do it.
besides, i'm in the midst of a terrible cold, so i should probably just lay down all day and try to conserve my energy for tomorrow. any recommendations on how to treat a cold when one might be pregnant?

Baby4us and pj, wishing you all the best.

pj I know what you're talking about re: hpts, I held those in different positions under different shades of light, natural or other, trying to find that SECOND LINE....  Things we do in this journey.

Babydust to all

PJ.. I guess your test is today??? let us know how it goes.. I hope you are feeling better.
Treating a cold when you might be pregnant?.. I guess less is best.. drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest.

Good thougth WantsBaby2.. about the HCG still possibly in my system. I had done an HPT last ccyle around the same time.. and that one was negative... plus.. out of desperation because I was feeling so crappy on Thursday of last week.. I had taken an HPT (I know.. I am obsessed!) and it was negative... which was a really stupid thing for me to do because it was WAYYYY too early to test and it just made me upset all day!

So I am hoping this faint line isn't a false positive.. although I am well aware of all the other bad things that might happen... so hopefully Wed for my blood test will roll around really quickly!

Okay...I don't want to get your hopes up too much but I did take HPT three times after my IUI...and they were all negative. No faint line. No nothing.  And it was negative when I went in. SOOO, what I am saying is, it's hopeful! With the IUI you take less hcg than with IVF, so it may be a good indicator...at least, I SURE HOPE!! Good luck!!!
