Hi,
This website is great, it helps me to read how what everyone is going through. I am 9 weeks pregnant, my pregnancy levels started out low. She did an ultrasound at 7 & 8 weeks pregnant and we saw the heartbeat. Then the hcg levels rose to 40,000 and progesterone to 19.6. I went to the doctor this friday and found that my hcg levels had dropped to 27,000. She did another ultrasound and found no heartbeat this time. SHe has scheduled me for a D&C for this friday.
I have not had any cramping or bleeding, how do i know if the baby is really gone?
Has anyone had this happen to them?

Hi,

I too had the same thing happen to me.  I was almost 13 weeks and I went to do the nuchal fold test and they didn't see a heartbeat.  I never had any bleeding either.  I am sorry that it happened to you too.  They did do testing but the didn't find out anything.

thanks Mishey,
I appreciate your feedback, I am sorry about your loss too. Things happen for a strange reason and know one knows why. But hopefully God will bless us with more opportunities and then we will be able to enjoy them.

I have had this happen twice! It sucks to say the least. I saw my babies heartbeat both times, and a week later no heartbeat. I did however experience light bleeding, but I opted for a D & C I just couldn't go through trying to pass it on my own. I however had recently found out I have a blood cloting disorder which may cause miscarriages. Hang in there, I know how you feel and no matter what anyone says, the pain of losing a baby never goes away. I just find its easier to talk about it then ignore it. Also do some research on the interent, for forums and support groups. You would be amazed as to how many women actually experience a m/c and to realize your not alone.
