I am 36yo never pregnant, initial antral count of 8 with day 3 FSH 10.5, no male factor.  I had my first IVF this month.  I used gonal-F, Repronex, and Ganirelex.  They retrieved 14 follies last week anywhere from 10mm to mid 20s.  Seven fertilized.  On day three they called me to say I had 3 good quality embryos and 4 excellent embryos and felt my best chance was to go to five days.  On day five I had two blasts, 1 preblast and the others were not yet to preblast stage.  They transferred the two blasts and it seemed to be uncomplicated although when he said to look at the white streak (representing the embryos being placed on U.S.) he admitted that he saw two different spots (thought they were really close together).  But he reported the procedure was uncomplicated.  The embryologist said the best blast of the two had been a 4BB about 4 hrs prior to transfer.  Can you give me a guess as to my chances.  I was really positive and then I had my transfer and it just seems so simple I am like how can that possible have worked.

It sounds as if everything went well. Your chances of taking home a baby from the hospital nine months from now are about 40-50%. At 36, that's pretty much as good as it gets. Hang in there.
