insulin resistance and fertility
I hope my story may help others ask the right questions to their doctors.
I struggled with infertility for 2 years. By coincidence, I decided to lose some weight right before starting IVF. I lost weight, and soon after, found that I was pregnant. I'm certainly not suggesting that losing weight is a panacea. Infertility is complex, as are its many treatments. I do believe, though, that my infertility was caused by my weight problems, something my doctor never suggested to me. My advice is to do your research, and stay on top of your doctors. Partnering with them in your care will always yield better results. Sometimes, a simple solution IS the answer.
