Is there Hope?
Well, my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for some time now. I did eventually become pregnant in 2001 after months of trying. I was 13 weeks pregnant when I miscarried, which was horrible for us. We then tried again I had another miscarriage. I decided to seek help. I have now been seeing a specialist since 2004. I was diagnosed with low progesterone levels, which I can receive injections for. I then tried Clomid, which did not work. So I underwent two cycles of IUI, but had a blighted ovum and an ectopic pregnancy. My doctor decided that IVF would be my best option. I tried one IVF cycle, but did not get pregnant. My husband and I were in total shock. I have always been able to become pregnant. I wanted to know what happened. My doctor told me that I have a diminished ovarian reserve. It came as a great surprise to us. I was so sad after the news. I thought that we would never have a baby. Our chances are a lot lower now because I've started to show poor egg quality. I am now on my 2nd IVF cycle and waiting for retrieval any day now.
