Well, well, well, it looks like I have one mutation in my mthfr test. It the least serious one A1298c. I will make appt with the doc and see what he says. I still need to do my hysto test. Yuck. I'd rather go to the dentist and have a tooth drilled without novacaine.

Take care all.

Anyone else with this mutation?

Fourtyfour- I am sure you are glad you are finally getting answers. I am homo for MTHFR which both genes are mutatated. It is good that you only have one gene mutated the doctor told me when you just have one the normal gene will cover for the mutated one. Most of the time they don't do anything, but if they do all your testing and the MTHFR is all they find, then I would assume they will at least have you take more folic and a baby aspirin. Keep me posted. I have been thinking of you and wishing you the best!!!

Fortyfour,
I am really happy that you are finding some answers. Too bad they could not have discovered this before you lost all your precious babies. :( Take care.

Oneandonlymel - Hi thanks for rssponding. The mutation I have does not get cancelled out by the other. The mutation reduces the ability of the enzymes that helps with folic acid absorption by 58%. I will definetly need folic acid, b6 and b12 and baby asa. I still have some more immune tests that need to come back and then we shall have the most answers that we can have . Take and happy belly growing.

Wantsbaby2. - I know. My hubby is so mad right now that I could have taken simple supplements and the babies could have been ok. He could hardly sleep last night. I am getting my first period after d/c and am so tired and crampy I dont care what happens to me today.

It just feels good to have a direction to go to instead of trying again with not knowing why.

Take care and happy baby making.

Oh 44 that must be frustrating.. but indeed at least here are answers and maybe next time will be "the" time.

I am sorry to hear that you also have to do another hysto test... that is so painful.. but hopefully will also shed some light on your questions??? Keep us updated!

fourtyfour - Thanks for your response because I must of been told wrong which what you say makes sense or I misunderstood what he said. I do have to take extra folic acid, B6 & B12, baby aspirin and prenatal for the rest of my life whether or not I am pregnant. I hope the mthfr is all you have to deal with and that is the answer to keep you pregnant! I can't wait to read a post from you that you are pregnant again!!!!
