RB,

My dd just turned 3 on 3/21!. We have tried to ask her if she wants a little brother or sister and she really just ignores us. Hopefully once I start to show, we can get her to understand more.

We are trying to keep the news pretty quiet too because then if something happens you don't have to tell everyone under the sun. I am staying positive and my u/s is scheduled to Tues, 4/1 (April Fool's Day). I have been having morning sickness (all day) for about a week now. I keep telling myself, its good, that means the hormones are going up.

ARe you feeling any new symptoms?

Aisha,

welcome. Don't sweat the drugs and injecting yourself. Its not really as bad as you think it would be. Just remember its a means to a end and you can do it. Most of the injectible needles are very small and often don't really hurt at all.

I got pg on my 1st IVF attempt, after 9 failed IUI's. So keep your hopes up and think postive thoughts. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Ronda,

it's great to hear from you....sometimes i wonder if i'm really pg! I havent had any m/s really just mild nausea occasionally...usually just lasts a few seconds and its gone...i do tend to get slightly car sick, even on short drives, if i'm not driving and I never suffered with car/motion sickness before.....so maybe its pg related. I have had to go to the bathroom more often than usual as well but thats it for symptoms so far...my allergies gave me hell this week and i couldnt take anything so that was difficult but otherwise so far so good i think.

my u/s is on the 7/04 so i gues we can compare notes again in a couple of weeks...

Aisha...welcome and the drugs and injections were not that bad...like Ronda, i got pg on my first IVF attempt as well so there's hope...just look at us! It's all worth it in the end.

Jenny,

You must remember that even though they transferred 3, it doesn't mean they will all implant (even with the positive results for blast for the remaining embies). It is a possiblity that you could have triplets, but if you check statistics, unlikely!

The doc would only let me transfer 2 embies because of the high quality, and only one embie took. I have 10 frozen right now.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Awe,
I really want a boy. I was hoping for better odds. I guess the more the merrier! Wow, 10 frozen, still with the great quality only one baby? Wow.
I guess I will be prepared at the ultrasound. Reality.

Well, fingers crossed. Congrats to you! How cool is your little ticker!

Take care and I will pray that i get even one embryo to implant. I guess I just got ahead of myself!

Marina - April 18

Jen,it's not always the true-the more the marrier. It's a very high risk to have a triplet pregnancy and they always born premature.Of course,it increases your chances to get PG,but for your own sake and your babies sake it's better if you'll and up with two or one healthy baby.Good luck!

Arabsrcool - April 18

Jenny,

Marina is also right, the more embies that implant, the more chance there is for complications for both you and the babies. I say, hope for at least one and be prepared for more.

I like my ticker too.Hopefully you will soon need a ticker of your own!

Reshma,
How will I know in 2-3 weeks? That is cool! I thought I would have to wait another 6 weeks for an ultrasound. I am so anxious. I just want any info you can give me.

We transfered 3 embryos, and I am dying to know how many implanted! We are not telling anyone until we know the number of little stink pots that are in there!

Arabsrcool - April 22

jen,

You can click on the baby-gaga.com on my ticker and it will take you to the site. Just following the instructions on the site and cut and paste the url in your signature line on your profile.

I am actually an american, and live in the USA. The username is in reference to my Arabian horses!

You may be able to tell somewhat by your numbers that multiples may be a possibility. REally high numbers often indicate more than one embie implanting.

The girls I work with, were kind enough (while I was waiting to see how many embies took) printed off an article about a couple that transferred one embie and it split 3 times and they ended up with triplets!!!. That was really so nice of them! However the chances of that are like 1 in 200,000.!!

Oh oops, awesome on the horses! We all dream of having a pony as a little girl I think!

I had three implanted, so I wish I could get a hold of the stats on that! Well, we are ready for anything, just not 5 or 6. That would take some mental preparation!

When I get the numbers, a solid positive from the Doc and a due date I will be getting my ticker!!
Thanks!

I am so happy to have found this site! It was the best thing ever when I started fertility treatments!

Ivf may be easier, or else you get the reveral and try and try and try. Dont be afraid, I was too, I was so anxious and nervous, I tried to call and cancel my contract!

However, our clinic offered a newbie class and you had to inject yourself with saline in front of the nurse that night. So I did that and my nerves were put at such ease!

I would do it a thousand times over and over if it resulted in a baby!
Right now I am holding my breath til Friday. No amount of needles or medicine would be too much for a child!

RB - April 22

Hi Jen,

Like Ronda said, you will probably be able to tell from the numbers and your first u/s should be scheduled somewhere between weeks 6-8 of pregnancy and then you will know for sure! I transferred 3 embies but only one implanted and is now a little baby growing in my tummy. I was kinda sad for the two that didnt make it but overjoyed that one did! Looking forward to hearing what happens on friday and beyond.

Ronda - i think having horses is just the coolest thing in the world. I wanted to learn to ride as child but my mother was terrified i would fall and break my neck! ::) So i never got to be around horses as much as i would have liked...they fascinate me though...you are sooo lucky :) Maybe one day you can come visit me in the Caribbean and i can come visit you and your horses ;D

Arabsrcool - April 24

Reshma,

I am very lucky to have had horses in my life (since I was a baby). My dd also loves her horses and is quite the little rider. I am very happy to be pg, but disappointed I will not be able to ride this year. I got a new horse last year (a rescue horse that was so skinny and had some issues) but he is very cool! I am hoping a friend of mine will take one of the horses and ride them for me.....the horses don't mind standing around, but its such a waste! The doc's won't clear me to ride even my old faithful calm horses, just on the off chance something would happen. I agree, because as much as I went through to get pg, I won't risk it on something that is not essential (although its darn close in my book!) I have just been enjoying hanging out with the horses and grooming, petting and just spoiling them!

I would love to visit you in the Caribbean and you are welcome to come to old Indiana to visit me and my horses. However I think I would be getting the better vacation coming your direction!

My level came back 224 this AM. So still no way of knowing if there are multiples in there I guess....Got my repeat beta on May2nd in a week and my ultrasound scheduled for May 13. Oh man! I cant wait!
Wish there was a scale for how many at what level, blah blah blah....but I guess I will be patient and wait little less than 3 weeks...
