I have another question for everyone. Has anyone started purchasing things for the baby yet?

Since this is my third pregnancy I really do not expect a shower. That being said I want to start buying a little at a time, but I do not feel comfortable buying anything yet.

When do you girls think is a good time to start?

Jasjules -

Ok, I understand how you are kind of watching what you eat. Yeah, It makes sense!

The only thing I have bought is a pair of tiny dallas cowboy socks!

I dont really expect a shower. I dont know anyone here and doubt anyone will come. So I do plan on having to purchase almost everything. Since I am not far along, i will wait, but like you, do plan on buying a little at a time.
Once I find out how many are implanted, I will kind of be able to better guage what to buy.

Debbie and Jen- I thought it would never come, but it's only a few days away. I am excited but still nervous, because I don't know if he will set a date for the fet or ask for the water sono or other tests before doing it! I am hoping we can still set a date even if he wants more tests done. At least that way I know what I am waiting for and not just hanging.

I am glad all of you girls are doing well with your pregnancies, I only hope to be joining you all soon!

Lyly-
Fingers crossed they give you the date, that would be my main objective is to get my new schedule and plan!

That would brighten up your days to have something to look forward to! Plus to get you started on that would really give you something positive to work for, sure they can do testing and all that in the mean while, unless the results change the plan you should still proceed!

I would nail him down to a date!

You will be joining us soon! Good feelings! Also see if they will tell you whether or not they are willing to transfer all three.

Geeze people - It is hard t keep up with all your posts. I don't check for an hour or two and there are several messages!!

JasJulesMom - If it makes you feel better - I was about 155 pounds give or take when I got pregnant with my daughter and was 218 when I got pregnant this time. Going through fertility treatments and depression made me gain sooooo much weight. I am now about 242 so I feel your pain!!! I am not having a shower either since this is my second. I did register on babycenter.com but I haven't told anyone I did.

Lyly - I can't wait to hear bout when you set a date. You seem to be going through a lot. I remember several months ago when you had a cyst and had to put IVF on hold. That was when I was going through the iVF. You have been so patient. I can't wait for your day to come.

Julie- I got you beat. I started this pregnancy at 225. I did lose 37 lbs before I started this cycle of IUI. Before my dd I was never heavier than 170 except for when I was pregnant. My normal weight was always 150-155. But I suffered the same thing as you. I was depressed over infertility had thyroid problems and boom 262 lbs. Then I decided to take some time off and give myself and body a break. I lost the 37 lbs and my RE was so happy and I guess that is what really helped. This cycle was the best one yet and hopefully in 24 more weeks I will have a beautiful baby.

JasJulesMom - It is nice to know I am not alone with my concern for weight. I have always been fghting my weight since I was about 20 years old. I lost 60 pounds right before getting pregnant the first time. I worked so hard dieting and going to the gym. I was a pudge when my hubby met me but I had never been as heavy as I was the day I got pregnant. How is your pregnancy going so far. Is your doc worried about your weight?
How tall are you? I am almost 5 6.

Julie- I am 5'5" and I think I am more worried right now then the OB. She said just be healthy. I am just worried I will not be able to move and my back will kill me. I just want to enjoy what I know will be mylast pregnancy. I have always enjoyed being pregnant and I want to make the most of this one. But I definitly know how you feel. Has your OB gave you a limit of what you should gain?

Lyly- I hope this weekend goes fast for you and you get homw Monday with a set date.

Lisa- Wondering how things went. Cannot wait to hear.

Jules614 - May 8

JasJulesMom - Well my OB's have changed around. My OB is going on maternity leave so I will be seeing the one I had when I was skinny tomorrow. She got on my case toward the end of my preganncy about the weight I gained and it was not even that bad - so I really afraid what she may say tomorrow. My old OB had me see a nutricionist because I expressed my concerns with being obese. Like you, My OB didn't seem as concerned as me. did you have blood pressure problems toward the end of your pregnancy. I did the last month and ended up on bedrest.

Okay girls...I have good news! :) My Nucal scan came back in normal range for the u/s portion. I think they are going to combine today's bloodwork with the one on June 4th and the Nucal scan to determine the overall result. However, my OB was very happy with the numbers from my scan today. He said anything over 3.5 is a concern. My scans came back...2.0 on the little one and 2.3 on the big one. pheeew. sigh of relief.
twin 1 measured 61mm 12w4d 160bpm
twin2 measured 52 mm 11w6d 168 bpm still behind but only 5 days.

I could not wait to get off that table and pee. Sitting there for an hour looking at those cutie pies was great but I had to pee so badly. That full bladder thing stinks! My Dad was thrilled to be there to see and hear the heartbeats and also to see them moving around so well. I left there with 14 ultrasound pics. some of twin 1, some of twin 2 and some of them together. The tech said that she would do a freebee 3D u/s in the 20th week or so. I can't wait to try one of those.

It was an amazingly overwhelming day and I am so relieved it is over with. I have a headache from being all nerved up and then everyone bombarding me with questions and hugs and just general happiness. It tires you out. But in a good way. :)
thank you all so much for all of your good thoughts, wishes and prayers.

vw79girl - So glad you saw your twins and they are progressing just fine. That is great your dad got to see them as well. Rest up!

lol, yes Julie, I too married a Greg. :)
I hope I end up losing most of what I put on through breast feeding. I heard it really helps. It sounds like your Dad is a wonderful grandfather. My Dad will be called Papou. That is grandfather in Greek.

Debbie, I am glad your appt. went well and you didn't get yelled at. :)

Jen, I agree on the cravings. If my belly is craving something...I give in. hehe

Jules614 - May 9

vw79girl - Yeah my daughter calls my dad "Zadie" It's a Jewish term for Grandpfather. I lost so much weight from breastfeeding! It's great and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to begin and then lose the weight.

I have my Ob appointment at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.

I must be the shorty of the group at five feet tall exactly. :) I am hoping that I reach my limit around 150 - 155 or so. Being so short I can't imagine being much bigger than that. I will be HUGE haha. If I gain that, it is @ 50 lbs. more than normal so that wouldn't be too bad.

With the Crohn's I am wondering how that will work. I have been around the same weight give or take 5lbs. or so for the past 13 years since I have had my Ileostomy pouch.

I know what you mean about the posts but I love that we all talk so much. We have a great little cyber family. :D

Hi girls- lots going on here! Everyone seems to be getting good news at there appts.

Lisa- I am so happy your screening went well. It seems like both your babies are doing well

Julie- I never heard of "Zadie". My daughter calls her grandparents "Saba" and "Safta" which is hebrew for grandpa and grandma. Is Zadie a yiddish term?
