Lyly, they did schedule my transfer-it's June 13.And now everything tied up to this date.I'm starting bcp Sun. or Mon.(hopefuly,if my period comes on time, which is tomorrow or Sat.) and Lupron-on May 14.
Yeah,I think you right, part of it-it's for their convinience.
O well, the timing is right for me anyway-I have time to do my gardens and get the pool ready and decorated-so later on I can just lay around and relax.
Good luck tommorow!

I am so happy to hear you are beginning your cycle, I have followed your posts, and I am so excited for you, take it easy! Gardening is pretty relaxing for me too!
I felt the same way about the timing issue. I felt that the RE was elevating and lowering my dosages based on when they wanted to get me in for the retrieval. But I think it all worked out.

I go in Friday for my second blood test and I think the numbers should be between 2000 and 2500. I dont know why I did not go two days after the initial test, but they seem to know what they are doing.

I also was a little concerned that I am going right at 4 weeks for my ultrasound. I was hoping it would be about week 6, since this is when you are supposed to see fetal heartbeats. I dont want to see just a sac, I wanted to see the proof that life exists!

Oh well, good luck! Keep us posted!

Jenfrancis- You are usually 4 weeks by the time you get a positive beta. If you had IVF you count back 2 weeks from your retrieval as week one. So if your u/s is four weeks after your retrieval and transfer you will be 6 weeks pregnant. If that is the case you should see the heartbeat!

okay I am glad you girls fessed up about the crazy sex dreams because I have had a few of those too lol! The other night I was making out with this guy I work with at the restaurant. lol I am seriously LOL. :)

Ronda, how old are you? I am hoping to have a 3D u/s at some point. I think those are really cool. I hate how NON accurate all of those tests are. Thurs. when I go for my appt. I am going to find out more about the nucal translucency and when we will do it. I had a bit of cramping/stretching today. I always take that as a good sign that something is going on in there. :)

Jules614 - April 29

Yeah - the u/s usually won't be before 6 weeks because chances are you won't see a h/b.

Saw the movie Deception today. It was good.

That movie looks good Julie. I'd like to see it.

JenFrancis, why are they having you go at week 4? I had my first U/S at 7 weeks and we saw the heartbeats then. We were able to hear them at 10 weeks. If you want to see exactly where you are, try this calculator: http://www.ivf.ca/calcu.htm you put in your retrieval date. :)
You must have been so excited to see that positive beta with good numbers. I know I was!

How is Reshma?

Ok, guys not sure how they go back before I even had a transfer, but putting in my 4/11 retrieval, it says that right now i am 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant!
So on May 13, we should see heartbeats! YAY!!! Fingers crossed. I will keep you all posted on how many are in there.

JenFrancis - do you know you are having more than one?

I go for my genetic counseling appointment tomorrow. I am a bit nervous, want to make sure I make the right decision as far as amnio. I also cannot wait to see the ultrasound. I always fear there will be a problem. I did not have morning sickness and it is too early to feel movement so I always fear the worst. I cannot wait til the baby moves on a regular basis so I can relax a bit.

Ronda if you do not mind me asking, how old are you? Did ob say anything about weight gain?

Julie, no not yet, will wait for the ultrasound, guess I just said what I hoped. We will see heartbeat(s). :)
I am so excited.
Wish we could tell based on bloodtest numbers. But I can wait till the 13th I guess I have to...

vw79girl - April 29

Debbie,
did you say you were going to do amnio or not?
and when was your last ultrasound?

Jenfrancis - how many ebryo's did you put back and what were your #'s - though numbers dn't always mean anything. My sister's were VERY low and she is having twins. I know people who had high numbers and they were only having 1.

Julie, we put back 3, and still 3 more in the dish made it to Blast, so I am unsure.
My initial beta was 224 that was only 10 days post transfer. I go back in three days for the second.
Its just going to kill me if the numbers dont go up or if something happened.
I am also going to have a VERRRY hard wait until the 13th of may.

jenfrancis -

Wow you are lucky you could put so many in. My place won't allow more than two - and with certain ages they only allow 1. I had none to freeze so I was very lucky it worked the first time. I really didn't want to go through it again being how bad I reacted to the anthesia and having follicles burst inside me from being overstimulated!!! I would have though if I had to. Small price to pay for a little one.

Julie,

I am so happy it worked for you too! Especially the first time with all your complications! My first cycle did not work because the dosages ended up making my E2 (estrodiol) levels skyrocketed near the end. They made me coast for 3 days and when they finally let me take the HCG shot, the eggs never progressed past day 3. We had a 5 day transfer, but the eggs were bad quality.
I was upset.

So we scrounged up the money again, this time paid for 3 cycles in advance, and ended up working on this one! So I am thrilled.
They usually only let you transfer 2 blastocysts, but last cycle, with the eggs not really progressing they let us do 3 in hopes one would grow inside. Then this time since it was a day 3 transfer, and the failed cycle they wanted to give us a better chance. I hope it works!
So congrats on your girl! How far along were you when you found out it was a baby girl?

vw79girl - April 29

Julie~
I think had they let me put in three the other times, we would have had a better chance. This time we only had three that fertilized normally and I asked that they put all three in rather than save one to freeze and have it not make it through the thaw.

I am so thankful that two out of the 3 took!!! :)
