Hey Ange- I broke down today and did an hpt and it was bfn! :( I am so depressed. People keep trying to tell me it is too early but I feel like it was right. I should have the results of the bloodwork in the afternoon or evening tomorrow. I will let you know if there is any change, but I am not hopeful.

I am so sorry to hear the preg test was negative. There is still always a chance. With my daughter, the tests were negative even a week after I was late... it was the blood test that told me I was preg.

Lyly,Julie is right,your HCG could be still too low for HPT,and it should double every 48 hours.I know the feeling,that's why they want us to wait to avoid emotional rollercoster.I felt so lost after BFN,but my DH never stoped beliving it was a mistake and he was right,I was the one who was doubtful all the time between my 3 betas and u/s.Hold on until tomorrow!

I figured that 2 days before the actual date I was suppossed to test would be enough time. I am not too hopeful though. With all my other pregnancies I always new by 3 1/2 weeks. I always got a positive hpt a few days before I was even due for my period. I guess anything is possible but I definitely don't feel any of the usual symptoms.

lyly~ sorry to hear about your hpt bfn. I had my beta done at 16 dpr and my beta was only 28 most hpt don't even detect that little so try to sleep tonight and goodluck with your beta tomorrow. you are only 12 days past retrieval

My beta was 45 and then it only went to 83. I always implant late which may be the case with you. Stay positive until you get that call.

Thanks girls for your support and for tyring to ease the fears of a real negative, The test I used is really sensitive it picks up levels as low as 15. Well I am off to the lab so I will know the true results by this evening. I ll keep you posted.

Lyly~ I am so sorry to hear that it was bfn. I was so hopeful for you to get a bfp. How are you doing? HUGGGGS Are you going to try 3 next time?

Ange- My dr told me to call monday to schedule a consult. I was planning on asking his thoughts on putting the last 3 frozen in next time if they all make the thawing process. Not sure how he is going to feel about that. With my age I know they don't recommend it, but if 2 yielded none maybe 3 will at least get me one. Unfortunately the embryology lab is closing this month and moving. I don't think they will re-open untill april or may. So we are going to have to wait untill they relocate. The new location is closer to my house so at least that is a good thing and they will no longer be affiliated with a hospital. I think they are opening their own free standing IVF clinic. Maybe they will have better equipment and if I need to do another fresh cycle I will have better luck with the retrieval. For now I have to wait.

Lyly - I am so sorry your test was negative. I wish I could give you a great big hug. Can you find another lab to go to since yours is relocating? I really feel for you because no one has given you a break. Don't give up! You have support from everyone here.

Julie- I am okay with waiting for now. A different lab wont make much difference. I have no intention of doing a fresh IVF cycle anytime soon. My embies are frozen in this lab and they are shutting down, we will have no way to get them until they re-open. I have to wait for AF to come anyway this month and by time I get AF in march maybe we can start planning for transfer in April when they re-open so maybe it wont be that bad. If the frozen don't work I am going to wait until July to do another fresh transfer, so it doesn't interfere with work. Thanks for all your support!

Lyly - I am happy to hear either way you are going to keep trying again. This was only your first IVF cycle. You are still young - u already conceived once and I am sure you can do it again.

Hi Julie- I do not plan on giving up just yet. I have actually been pregnant 4 times all concieved naturally with no help, so I knew this time didn't work. I didn't feel anything and I always knew a week and a half after I concieved. We have 3 embryos left so that cuts down on cost for the next try. I am hoping that works and we wont need to do another fresh , but if it doesn't then I will definitely do it again. Really not sure what the problem is, but maybe in the meantime I will ask for more testing. Any relief with your m/s yet?
