I know you don't celebrate Christmas,I'm jewish girl too,but my husbands family are all do,so do I(like I like to say to my other relatives-we are having Chanukah bush with blue lights and presents for our son)
I wish you all luck on 26,let's keep in touch!

Thanks Marina -

Yes we celebrate Chanukkah too - but 99% of my friends are Catholic and I sometimes go to their houses.

Hi girls - how is everyone doing?
Marina- Are you still on bed rest or is everything looking good? Funny you mention the Chanukkah bush- I am jewish and dh is catholic. We celebrate both holidays. We have a white tree with all royal blue accessories, bow, stockings , and tree skirt. The tree is mostly decorated with snowmen and snowflakes. I think it is a good compromise, but dh longs for real christmas colors. It was difficult for me to even think of putting up a tree, but I try.

Julie- How are you feeling? Hope all is well. Keep me posted on how things go with the u/s on the 26th.

Hey Lyly - I am doing OK - stomach gets a little upset from certain smells - but no puking as of yet. I am sure in about 2 weeks I will be telling you differently.. I had morning sickness for 5 months with my last. I puked about 20 times a day.

How are you doing? ANy news about your cyst and when u may be able to do IVF again?

Julie

Marina - December 27

How is everybody?
Julie, did you have an u/s today?
Lyly, what 's new on your IVF?
I hoped to see my baby today since I'm done with my clinic ,but they didn't want to do u/s untill 10 weeks(I went to my regular ob today for the first time),got my goody bag,my husband met my doctor,he was very pleased with her,she spent with us 1.5 hours talking about pregnancy. We used to frequent visits to RE clinics and spoilt by # of u/s's-not going to happen in regular ob,they are not in a hurry.O well,we had a good chat with my ob.

lyly14 - December 27

Julie- Hopefully you wont be so sick with this one, but it is a small price to pay for such a precious gift.

Marina- Glad to hear your visit with the ob went well. Too bad you didn't get to see your little one today, but soon enough.

Jena & Lucky how are you girls doing?

As for me, my cyst is gone!!!!!!! Yeah ;) It seems that I am going to go right into my IVF cycle. He said it looks like I am about to ovulate, so I am supposed to start using an opk and call when I get a positive. I will be starting the lupron once again a week after my positive then the stims about 10 days after that. So I may have my retreival by around the 26th of January if all goes as planned this time.

Lyly -

That is Great news.

I had my u/s today - unfortunately there was no yolk sac or a heart beat. I will go back in a week to see if there is progression. I only measured at 5 weeks 5 days so chances are I wouldn't see that stuff yet.

Hi julie- sorry you didn't get to really see anything. It is still early so I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. I decided to try the ovulation kit tonight (after the RE asked me to start) and I got a positive already! It is a little early in the cycle for me. Today is day 14 and I usually get a positive on day 16 , but after being on the birth control pills and stopping who know. Thats how I got pg with my dd! I stopped the pills and 14 days after I got pg with her. Anyway I guess I will call the office tomorrow and let them know. So it looks like I will be starting even earlier than I thought.

Jules614 - December 27

Lyly -

Ovulation kit - do you use that for IVF?

Julie

lyly14 - December 27

He told me that you start the lupron a week after you ovulate, so if you are not on birth control pills , then yes you use the ovulation kit. That way they know about when you ovulated so you can start the lupron at the right time. I guess some dr's don't bother with it and just predict based on cycle length, but mine doesn't like to take chances, because cycles can vary especially with all this manipulation. They want to make sure you start the lupron after you ovulate because if you don't you can get cysts. That is the reason I went on the bcp in the first place for the last time because I didn't want to mess with the opk's. He said if you are on the pill it doesn't matter because you don't ovulate, so they can just start you and then you come off the pills after the you start the lupron. Obviously that didn't help me much since I still got a cyst.

Anyway I am totally confused now. Last night around 10:30 pm I got a positive opk, when I woke up this morning I tested again at around 10:00 am and it was negative! I don't know what to think. I used the clearblue easy one that is digital so I don't have to read those stupid lines. Last night I had a smiley face and this morning nothing. I am pretty sure it was accurate last night. On my u/s my lining was 12 and I had one follie that was 17 and a small one at 9 that he said was the resolved cyst. So that is my usual around ovulation, but wouldn't the opk still be positive this morning? What do you girls think?

Marina - December 27

Hm,lyly,it could be your 2nd day,not the 1st and you ovulated by next morning(that's why you didn't see positive result)-your cycle could change since you've been on a pill before that-(mine did).I'm not sure, but it seems like it.Congrads anyway!
Julie, don't give up just yet!Did they take your blood again to see if HCG rising?

Jules614 - December 27

Lyly - I was never on BCP and they never had me do an ovulation kit. They had me go on the Lupron day 22 of my cycle. I used to try ovulation kits when I tried to get pregnant and they never worked for me. Good luck!

Marina - Yes, I took another HCG test and my levels were 5570 which was good. Marina did you have an u/a on the 26th? How did that go?

Jules614 - December 27

Neber minda marina - I just read they are waiting to do your u/s at 10 weeks - don't mind me - pregnancy makes me forget!

Marina - December 28

It's very good number!I think mine on a day of 1st u/s was around 3000...But he was able to see the sac and yock and a fetal pole.how do you feel?Any morning sicknes yet?
I also read today in one of the magazines I got in my goody bag from my OB,that morning sicknes depends on high or low concentration of all pregnancy hormons in your body.I dont have any(I mean m/s),which is very surprising to me,I've had it with my 1st PG at 19 and with my son.So ,people who start their PG on higher levels(over 300) get morning sicknes. It's not bad or good,or affecting the baby ,it's just the way it is.O well,I think I can live without morn.sicknes just fine!

Jules614 - December 28

Marina -

I was so sick with my daughter! I puked morning, day, night, etc.. This time around no morning sickness which is great. But I am nervous that with an HCG level of over 5000 they saw nothing.

Julie

Marina - December 28

Julie,it is wierd, but your level too high for nothing.Did they see anything?Because the purpose to do u/s so early to see if the pregnancy in a ridht spot-not in a tube, there might not to be a yock yet.
