Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is on a 2WW from
an IUI cycle and or having any symptoms during
the wait...

Ladybug,
I am not currently in my 2ww but in May I was. I did have a pregnancy in May (Lost) but during that period in the first week I noticed alot of swelling in my breast. By the end of week 2 I could not stand it. Very tender. Any signs for you yet?
Lots of baby dust that sticks.

Hello
I am new to this site. I had my first IUI last Tuesday and I don't feel anything at all! No emotionalness, no nothing! I don't know if this is good or bad. Is this your first IUI?

Welcome emain,
This was actually my 3rd IUI but my first with my current husband. I did not have any difference emotionally at first either. I think the soonest I felt anything was about 8 days after. Keep positive.

Good Luck and Lots of baby dust!

Thanks Kelli! I'm trying to stay positive and trying not to get my hopes up.

Hello. I am on my 5th IUI cycle, 13 DPO (and about to go crazy). My first two IUI cycles were successful, but ended in m/c. Since then no luck. I am doing one more cycle after this one and then moving on to IVF. Through bloodwork they found that I have an antibody that causes my blood clot very quick, so they have put me on baby aspirin to hopefully reduce the risk of m/c again.

As far as symptoms...with my first two PGs, my breasts really swelled and very fatigued. Which is also happening now, but could just be AF. I also had some different cramping this time. I had really bad cramps day 4-6 DPO, and some slight cramping 11 DPO. I am looking at this as possibly positive, being that is different than any other IUI cycles. I have promised my DH that I will wait the entire time to take a HPT. It's killing me, for past cycles I would have taken 3 by now. I should have my results or AF on Sat.

Hope this helps you. Best of luck!

Hi everyone...I am new to all of this. I am going to have my first IUI cycle next month. We are using a donor since my husband can no longer have children.
I am excited and scared to death all at the same time. As much as I have read I feel like it isn't enough info.
My husband and I have been talking about this for over a year, we are ready. We have been open with friends and built a good support system, but no one really seems to understand the ins and outs of IUI. For them they think you just walk in, lie down, and walk out pregnant. If only it were that simple.

The waiting to get started is a bit nerve racking.

Wishing you all good luck!!

I just went through my 1st IUI, next Tuesday Oct. 17th, I find out if I am pregnant or not. The stress is unbelievable. I keep thinking that it worked, but since it was the 1st round, I don't want to get excited. To many times test results came back negative. We have been trying for so long I lost count. Sometimes, I think I am crazy about the feelings I have....maybe their in my head because I want it so bad.

Hi I'm new here and I don't know what to do or who to ask all my questions, my 1st iui didn't work and it was so sure that I was pregnat I felt all the simptoms but I think I was been paranoic about all this, I had my 2d iui on Oct the 18 and they told me to call them on Nov the 1th if I don't get my period but I can't wait, I fell so nervios and so sad just thinking that it can be another negative result, who many times is normal ti try????
Sorry if my english is difficult to understand but is my second lenguage.
Can someone tell me if is normal?? please!!

Ginna I may not be the best person to answer you since I did not have great luck with my IUIs but yes everything you are feeling is normal. I found I was often very negative and sad during the IUIs (for me the were medicated but unmonitored so I just felt like it was dumb luck if this was going to work or not). The 2WW is often the hardest as you are just waiting and not doing anything active so you feel no sense of control but hang in there and try to stay positive. There is a 2WW board where you might want to hang out with others in the same place to help pass the time.

As far as how many times to try that is always so personal and individual it is hard to say. Often doctors say you should give a proceedure 3 tries to see if it is something your body is going to respond to. But that said it really depends on what the next step is for you after IUI if you want to and can try IVF that that is a good next step. IF IVF is not possible you may want to keep trying IUI but try different stimulation medications to see if they work better for your body. It also depends on what is the reason for your infertility problems as that can give you guidanvce in choosing your next step. As for after how many times until you decide to stop all efforts that one is really personal and only you and your DH will be able to tell if it is the right time to move on. If this is just your 2nd IUI I do not think you are quite at that point yet so hang in there and best of luck to you. I hope all this is unnneccessary and that you find out by the end of this month that you are BFP and you will not need to worry about doing another IUI or anything else.
