Jen,
They were only 2 blast and 1 early blast!!!!!!! Yes I have broken down. Sunday at 5dp5dt I got the faintest of faintest lines. Yesterday they were certainly there!!!!! So I am so so excited and nervous!!!

Phew! HEATHER, Yikes, i transferred only three but they were one 9 cell and 2 8 cells. So I am fingers crossed it is one, but will love all three if I am so blessed.
Seems like you have a MUCH better chance for triplets, tho than I do... Scary, but when you have been trying and trying, most people on IVF take all they can get! :)
I really want to know what it ends up being. ONE TWO OR THREE!!!
Yep, I had not seen a positive hpt in YEARS, so when I got one, I KNEW it was positive. Chances are you are too!
I can not wait to hear how many you have!
Lets be buddies! Keep me informed!

Jen,

I would love to have a buddy to go thru this with! I used a ClearBlue Digital and got to see the words "Pregnant". I am so thrilled and happy!!! My gut feeling is telling me 1! My husband thinks 2!

I haven't joined any discussions before...I have only read hundreds of replies in anxious hours, when I could not keep myself together for a moment longer.

My DH and I have been actively trying to conceive for 4 years, seeing specialists for 3, etc., etc. Long story short: IVF #1 started 3/31/08. My ER was done on 4/22/08- 15 retrieved, 12 mature, 10 fertilized. Two perfect 8 cell embies placed on 4/25/08. I was dealing with all the side effects (breast pain, abdominal bloating) ok until 4/27, when we were told none of our remaining embryos were suitable for cryo! These two are it! I now alternate between knowing it worked one minute to knowing it didn't the next. I feel crazy, angry, and hopeful all at the same time. My beta is 5/7/08, and I may explode before then.

Nonnie,
I am happy you chose to post, we welcome you warmly here. This panel will keep you occupied and hopefully informed. So many people here, glad you are part of the IVF family.
I pray it works for you on this first try! You had many many eggs retrieved! Wow!
Let me tell you dont give up hope on the two you had transferred! Those were the best two no doubt, so dont get discouraged that none of them could be frozen.
The RE told me once that often the embryos need to be inside mommy to thrive and sometimes don't progress too well in a lab.
Also, I did a three day transfer, after my first cycle ended unsuccessfully. And guess what, I am preggers! Not sure yet how many, but we did 3. One was a 9 and the other 2 were 8. SO DONT GIVE UP!
Positive thinking and keep your spirits high! I think that helps! Hopefully you will explode by then with baby hormones and symptoms!
I did a digital home pregnancy test exactly 7 days after my transfer, and already had a positive result by then!
Good luck, treat yourself gently and take care!

Can coughing too hard or sneezing too hard cause a miscarriage?

I get these kind of crampy pains when I cough, had a cold for 4 days. Its kind of going away now, but I dont have my second blood test til Friday and I am nervous that the numbers wont have doubled or I did something by coughing.

What are these pains, well, hope its nothing.

Just need to get this blood test done and get in there for the first ultrasound.

jenfrancis no you cant m/c from coughing and sneezing however you can pull stomach muscles

Thank you for the reply! I see you had a daughter born in February! Congrats! Why are you still hanging around here?
Are you trying again? What is your situation?
Thank you for the info, anyway. I have no bleeding, and I am not in a panic, I just was curious, it feels sometimes like piercing pain, and I was worried.
Take care.

well this site got me through my journey. I will give you the fast update on my story. I have went through fetility off and on for 6 year. I have been pg 7 times. I have lost 5 in m/c from 6-15weeks. I have a three year old and one born this past february. After being on this site and having others help me i feel the need to still help others. I still have alot of friends that are on the site trying or who are still pg. Everyone even after having them feels a need to help others like we were helped. For example when people have questions like you did its unfortunite but im able to answer alot of the questions for the women on here.

momma04 - May 1

Just waned to say thank you for hanging around and helping others!

I had my beta today at 9dpt and it was 195!!!!!

JenFrancis - Thank you for your welcome, I am surprised at how much it means to me to hear from someone who knows what I'm going through. My husband is the best, but it just isn't the same. During the past 4 years, we've been a team, totally responsible for our hopeful family. During this 2ww, I feel like my body will either fail or succeed...cut and dried! In my rational mind, I know that isn't true, but I am not being ruled by my rational mind these days. I question every twinge: Is that implantation? Is that AF at the door? My test is in 4 days, and I just want to sleep until then so I don't have to spend it on an emotional roller coaster. Don't worry, ladies, I am staying positive for the most part. But I don't mind saying that I really, really, really want a baby soon!

Nonnie -
I agree about the hubby not really being the same as coming to this forum! I came here kind of looking for answers and made buddies! They totally understand and someone is always ready with an uplifting word!

There is nothing wrong with leaning on another woman or two during this time, it may relieve hubby a bit too!
You can tell this panel anything and someone somewhere has been through it.

Your next three days will go by fast! And no you will not be rational! You will be all over the map with emotions and feelings! I felt the same way about not wanting to do anything until my bloodtest! I just had to know! I ended up taking home pregnancy tests on my own.

I hope-n-pray this works for you! My sister has twin boys (after ONE cycle of IVF) and this is my second time. I am certain this will happen sooner rather than later for you!

What is your plan b just in case? What is the next step from here? It helped me to have that in mind, because when they called me and said we do not have good news, I knew I would be on my bcp that following friday, ready to get started on my second cycle!

Take care, and Wednesday will be here before you know it!

desertnonnie - May 5

Dear JenFrances,

Our plan is to try again, but I am still not ready to give up quite yet. This would be easier if I were not having every early PG syptom in the book thanks to the medications. I have taken 3 HPT tests...the first was 3dp3dt to see if HCG was out of my system. 2nd was 7dp3dt, and 3rd was 11dp3dt (this morning). All were negative. Yesterday I felt a pulling crampiness in my lower abdomen on the left side, and waited for AF to arrive, but so far so good. I will post my beta results on wednesday.

Jen- When is your US?

jenfrancis - May 5

Prayers for you nonnie! Don't get discouraged. I am sure you know that those tests are looking for very high levels of HCG. The blood test at your doc can get a positive test at only 5! So just let them give you the official results. Its good you have a plan, that will keep you going no matter what.
I will be right here Wednesday!

My u/s is Wednesday the 14th 1 pm. so I will be posting late.

desertnonnie - May 5

I woke up today and my breasts don't hurt anymore. For the past two weeks my bbs have hurt so bad that I haven't taken my bra off- even to shower! Then, all of a sudden...NOTHING! Has this happened to anyone who still had a BFP? Funny, but I'm worrying more now that I'm feeling better than when I was bloated and in pain. I did not take another hpt test this morning, simply because I am making myself crazy! I am having dreams that I take an hpt, but it has about 100 different symbols (not just - or +), and the symbols keep changing while I try to look up in the book what they mean. I have just accepted that I have done everything I can, and it has either worked or it hasn't. Beta in 2 days. Thank you for all your kind thoughts.

bundleofjoy - May 6

Hi nonnie,

I am in the same boat as you. Driving myself crazy. I am due for my beta on Saturday, but the lab is closed so I have to wait until Monday. Like I have not waited enough!!!! I as you, have been freaking out, questioning every symptom. I wish you the best on Wednesday.

This is our first IVF/ICSI as well. We had 2 failed IUI's with clomid and injectables.

Best of luck to you!!! ;)
