Cindy:

Thank you so much ;D

We are very happy, but now comes the journey to make sure everything goes ok -- I am scared to death that something might go wrong and I could not deal with that - I am absolutely euphoric about this baby and decided right now that i will do whatever they tell me to do even if it means to be in bed for the whole time .

Hubby is off, but i am using leave sparingly b/c of all the dr appts and the ensuing time off, but he is coming to take me to lunch and bring me some new pants b/c this am. i put on these jeans and as soon as i ate i blew up from being bloated and now they are way to tight - i know it is the progesterone not the baby ..

Let me ask you is 602 beta good number ??????

thanks again

P.S. Have you heard from China at all???

This is wonderful news, I'm so happy for you and your family!

You and your hubby should take the rest of the day off to celebrate!

Carrie,
Don't be scared, now is the time to relax and enjoy the fact that you are pregnant.

You now can pass along your advice and experience to the newbies.

As soon as you get off the progestrone, your boobs won't hurt, you won't be as tired and you won't feel as bloated. That's what happened to me, all my pregnancy signs all disappeared. I was on the oil and suppositories for about 12 weeks after I found out I was pg.

I want to say that 602 is higher than normal but I don't want to give you false info, I'm not that familar with all the beta numbers. I'm sure someone else might know or you can look it up on the net.

Cindy:

Thank you so much ... I hope I don't have to do the suppositories b/c I know two people that said they make you burn and itch and I am very succeptible to UTI's and yeast infections and the least little thing causes me problems......

So far she just told me to continue with the Progesterone Oil and the Estradiol pills .. I have to go restock today after work ...

I also asked her about intercourse and she said no b/c we are considered high risk because of having the incompetent cervix m/c ..

she also wants me to set up appt with OB already and I don't have one so she gave me a couple of good names of high risk drs...

I am so excited - still nervous and can't wait to see the heartbeat on Feb 9th .....

Thank you os much for everything,
Carrie

Carrie,
You are very welcome......

I had to do the suppositories 3 times a day, it was a pain. I'm very sensitive in that area and it didn't bother me at all. I was surprised I didn't get any infections. But anywho it sounds like you don't have to anyway.

P.S. I haven't heard anything about China, I think she didn't get the results that she wanted to get.

I'm sure she will be back when she is ready.

Cindy,

i don't have to do them yet, but it could be something she will have me start - when did you start ?? as of today she just wants me to continue with shots and pills.

I know I am thinking the same thing about China and am very sorry for her b/c i know how important is was for her -- we have a whole lot in common with life experiences and stories so i want her to know i am here if she needs to talk. Of course you and Fiso and Dreamscometrue and anyone else as well... you guys were there for me whether it was 2:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. and i appreciated that ..

Carrie,
I started the suppositories the day of the transfer, I had to take that along with the oil shots at night.

Are you taking prenatal vitamins? You should start if you haven't already.

Cindy ,

I was on the regular prenatals, but they made me so constipated so they put on ones with stool softeners and have been on them zsince the beginning of this IVF cycle. they are good.

I take 1 ML Progesterone oil at night with estradiol pill. in the morning i take estradiol pill, baby aspirin and pre-natal vitamins.

Hopefully they will not keep me on shots for too long after we get to a point where they feel comfortable .

Cindy,

I just got my second Beta numbers they jumped from 602 to 1517 ... Woo Hooo !!!! we are sooo happy that the numbers are going up and sooo very excited to see the little heartbeat on Feb 9th...

How are you ???? I actually feel really good except if i eat mayonnaise or milky products .....

Baby dust to all the sisters out there .....

Carrie

snindy - January 30

Carrie,
Wow, that jumped pretty high. Maybe there will be more than one heartbeat that you will see on the 9th......

I'm doing good but my headaches are coming back. If I sit on the couch, I can feel my neck start to ache and then it turns into a headache. I try to get up and do things so my neck is not in one spot. But I can only do so much without getting winded. My chiro gave me some neck excersises to do, but it doesn't seem to be working. I would take morning sickness over headaches any day.......

Cindy,

i have suffered my migraines for years so i know what you are going through and i am sorry .. does the dr let you have anything but tylenol -- I would ask about Excedrin Migraine - they are the only thing that take away my headaches.

I know my DH keeps saying "twins" but i don't think so i just think it is a strong pregnancy which i what i prayed for every day of my 2ww ..

i hope you feel better,

Carrie

snindy - January 30

Carrie,
I'll be ok. I will ask the dr tomorrow if there is something other than tylenol I can take when the headaches come. I have migraine pills that I took before I was pregnant, but I don't think I can take those now. They are too powerful.

Don't rule out twins just yet. Anything is possible.
Well, whatever it might be, you guys will be loving parents!

You could jump over to pregnancy after infertility and ask those ladies what their numbers were. There is a bunch of girls who are pregnant w/ twins.

Cindy

hopeful2006 - January 30

you are too right?

what were your numbers??

did you know right away you were having twins?

snindy - January 30

Carrie,
I can't remember the exact number, but I know it was something like a thousand and something.

I had no idea I was having twins. In fact, I didn't even think I was pregnant until the u/s showed me differently. Thank God I wasn't having triplets. The dr said before the transfer that if I got pg w/ triplets then it would be a big risk to me and to the babies and that I would have to get rid of one. That would of been a hard decision to make.

My girlfriend's sister had a high number to start with and when she had the u/s, there were actually 2 sacs but one was empty. The empty sac didn't get absorbed into the uterus yet so that is why the numbers were high. So she is just pregnant w/ one baby.
But in your case, your numbers started low and then doubled, hmmmmm..... I guess you'll just have to wait and see. ;D

I think i am just pregnant with one great big healthy baby -- i prayed so hard to get pregnant and for the baby to be healthy that I think this is going to be a really good pregnancy without all the drama i have had in the past .

I already made my high risk appt and will see when they are going to sew me up in a couple of weeks - i just hope they say i can still work ..

do you know anyone who got sewn up and did not have to go on bed rest??????

snindy - January 30

I've never heard of anyone getting that procedure done personally. Do they put you out or do they do local anastesia?
I would think that once they sew you up, you might have to stay off your feet. Unless your fine in the beginning and once you hit 4 or 5 months, they may put you on bed rest.

This procedure doesn't sound pleasant but if it's going to prevent you from losing a child then I would do whatever it takes.
