Halfway to Date of Ptest

Hey neighbor...I live in Arlington Heights! My doc is Jacobs. Our preg test is scheduled for the 22nd. How long did you take off work before going back? Did you tell anyone at work? I work in a school and a lot of people know since I have been gone so much lately. I am a little nervous about questions when I get back. Any survival tips?

What date is your beta blood scheduled for?

Hey wolffie,

we are mirror images of each other. I took 4 days off and thursday was my first day back. Everyone at work knows-- first day back was exhausting. I manage a retail store in Highland Park; on my feet all day. Most of my symptoms have gone except cramping and swollen bbs. My advice is just be open and honest; nothing to be ashamed of. If anything, it is a beautiful process. How is your husband taking all this? Are you doing endometrin or the shots?

Hi Lisa -

My husband is taking all this very well. He is a very positive person. I experienced a ruptured ectopic pregnancy in June. Before we knew it was ectopic we knew there was something wrong but not sure what. My doc thought it was going to result in a miscarriage. Our BHCG was normal but progesterone was not. My husband thought everything was going to be fine while I was trying to save myself emotionally. He is convinced this IVF will be successful. It's wonderful that he is so positive but I am still trying to remain guarded but hopeful. How has your husband been?

I am doing endometrin suppositories 3x daily and progsterone shot every 3 days. Also the vivelle (sp?) patches. What are you doing?

By the way I grew up in HP...ironic.

For the most part I have been feeling fine. Some cramping the last couple days which made me nervous but the doc said it's probabaly still my ovaries recovering from the trauma of the retrieval. My boobs hurt, but that's about it. Did you experience any other symptoms?

Blood is scheduled for the 22nd.

From reading other posts it looks as though things are going really well for you!

Lisa -

I actually just got married in June. We have been together for 8 years and living together for 4. We knew we wanted to try for kids right away since my gyne said we may have difficulty due to my endometriosis. We conceived right away...before the wedding....but then had the ectopic.

I am on prenatal, baby asprin, endometrin, progesterone injection (every 3 days), and Vivelle dots - which is the estrogen. I'm not exactly sure how they work or what they are supposed to do. I wonder how the docs decide who is on what med regime.

I am a school social worker in Elmwood Park with 7th and 8th graders. What grade does your husband teach?

Is country Kitchen still accross from the movie theater? How long has Enaz been there? I don't think I remember it. My parents moved out of HP to the city this past summer. I didn't really get back there much.
