Hi Lily,
Thanks so much for your reply. It almost made cry... I know now that there are people out there feeling as I do; mortified!! I am taking progesterone suppositories 3X a day. I am also on medrol, antibiotics, and folic acid. The thought of having to go through this again scares me. :(

I am sorry the first one did not work for you. Lots of baby dust and hope this second time is the charm. Please keep me posted. I am due for my beta Saturday, but since the lab is closed I have to wait until Monday. :(

bundleofjoy- Have they checked your progesterone levels yet? I had mine checked at 7dp the retrieval to make sure the levels were good. I am no stranger to disappointment. My first scheduled IVF was postponed due to development of a cyst, now after my first bfn with ivf I am on hold once again. The embryology lab my RE uses closed down and moved to a new location right after my ivf. So we have been impatiently waiting since Feb to do an FET. The lab is now up and running and my RE has no contract to use it. I finally scheduled an appointment with a different RE (the one that runs the lab) and will see him on Monday to see if he can get me in to do my FET. So hopefully we will both get good news on Monday! Are you going to hold out and wait for the beta or are you going to take an hpt?

Lily,
I been been asked to go back on Monday for my Beta. Should I ask for them to check my progesterone level before then? Today I haven't spotted but have cramps, I am not sure if its bad or good. Honestly, since I should be in for my test on Saturday, but its closed, I do think I will cave and do a hpt. I am so scared though!!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope things go better this time. I know how agonizing the wait can be. I am glad you found a RE that can just help you move on. Lets keep our fingers and toes crossed and hope we both get good news.

Bundleofjoy- Every doctor is different but many check your progesterone 1 week after retreival then beta and progesterone 2 weeks after. Since you are taking the suppositories 3x's a day your levels should be good so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Your doctors experience may be that the levels are typically okay with the supplements and not bother to waste your time and money checking them. As far as the cramps, it could go either way. I wouldn't say it is a bad thing, but I can't guarantee you it is a good thing. Only that it is so normal to have them or not have them. Stinks huh? I have been pg 4 times in my life (I have one dd who is 9) and each pregnancy was so different. Early cramps like I was getting my period happened with 2 but not the others. Some pregnancies I was ravenous and others I couldn't even think about food. Try not to make too much of symptoms or lack of symptoms. I wish there was a way for us to know for sure before the beta but it is really hit or miss. I wish you lots of baby dust and a positive beta on monday! Let me know if you do the hpt ( I have heard people get negative hpt then positive beta, although that has never happened to me).

Lily,

I couldn't resist and did a hpt today. Of course it was negative. I just though a miracle would happen and it would be positive. I feel horrible! I am due for my beta Saturday so I might just do another one this weekend. This stinks!!! :(

bundleofjoy- Sorry to hear it was bfn, but it is still really early. Maybe you still have your chance for a miracle. I wish you lots of baby dust.

Congratulations Bundleofjoy! What a great Mother's Day present.

bundleofjoy- I am so happy for you. Congratulations! I go for my appt with the new RE tomorrow evening. I just got all my records from the old RE and I found out the remaining 3 embies I have are not the best quality. So I will see what this guy has to say. We put the 2 best ones in last time and got nothing so I guess I will see what happens. I let you know what he says tomorrow. Enjoy your mother's day!

Hi Lily,

I was just wondering how you were doing? How did the Dr's visit go? Will you be doing the FET anytime soon?

Hope all is well. l

bundleofjoy- My appointment went well with the new dr. I am starting my FET cycle May 28th. I am doing a completely natural FET so I have to wait to ovulate on my own (which is usually day 16 of my cycle). If all goes well I should have my transfer by mid june! How are you feeling?

FeCC - May 21

Hello,
I went to 3 failed IUIs and just did my first IVF. At first doctors gave me a low possibility to get until the end of the process since my follicle count was 7. My left ovary does not work. Well, I produced 10 follicles, all on the right side. We retrieved 7 on may-16 and were able to fertilize 3, high-quality. But 3 is very low number. As per RE recommendation we implant 2 (8cells) and froze 1 (10cells). My test is only schedule for May-30. I kinda regret that I did not implant all 3, but now its late. Looks like an eternity to wait unti the end of the month. I am going crazy.

fecc whats your story? age and all

FeCC - May 22

hello,
Well I am 34y and trying to conceive for 2 years. History of endometriosis. Had a surgery on dec/2006 to remove endometriosis, my left tube was removed.. that is probably why my left ovary doesn't work (probably damaged during surgery). Found out I have a nodule of endometriosis located outside my uterus, very deep. Doctors could not reach without damage uterus, so they did not remove. DH is fine and have 2kids from previous marriage.

Good luck, FeCC, keep us posted!

FeCC - May 22

Hi JenFrancis,

You are having triplets? How exciting?? I saw you got lucky on your second attempt, is that correct?
Can I ask how many did you transfer and what was the quality of the embrios on the 1st and 2nd rounds?

I am not sure if I will have sanity for another round. Money is another big issue.

Thanks a lot for the reply, thoughts and prayers.
