I have had 4, well 5 misarriages and before that I gave birth 8 years ago to a healthy baby girl. I had no issues with her pregnancy or birth. So it came to be a big suprise that I couldnt keep these other babies in me. After lots of test and lots of Doctors I was diagonised with Lupus Anticoagulant Antibody Disorder. I started the Lovenox (40mg once a day) shots two days after a positive test. The pregnancy started as twins but I miscarried one around 8-10 weeks. They call it Vanishing Twin Syndrome. Something I had never heard of. I have had ultrasounds every two weeks up until my 12th week, I am now on once a month ultrasounds and have had my dose of Lovenox upped to 80 mg twice a day, plus my baby asprin that I have been on since the positive test. I also was on progesterone cream for the first 10 weeks due to low levels. Now we have just had a second stage ultrasound to check out everything and they have found out that I have a Two-Vessel Cord (single umbilical artery) which according to studies happens in 1% of single babies and 5% multiple babies. Along with that we found out we will be having another girl, and her twin would have been a girl also. I am overwhelemed with emotions and pain these Lovenox shots hurt so bad and cause lots of bruising and knots and more proof that this is not a normal pregnancy. I guess I am just looking for some friends that know what it feels like and some support. My husband is great but just doesnt understand all my emotions! We go back on St. Pats day to get a closer look at the cord and the babies heart to make sure things are doing what they are suppose to.
